I love shopping in the downtown Gaylord shopping district. Main Street Shoes is in one of Gaylord's historic buildings. They offer a nice variety of higher-end shoes like Keen, Bjorn, etc. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the store's owner is there most of the time. I highly recommend shopping at Main Street Shoes.

If you need a good pair of jeans that fit well, Solli's is the place to go. As with many of the fine businesses on Gaylord's Main Street, Solli's is staffed by the owner. He also offers a nice selection of men's and women's clothing, jewelry, sunglasses, and swimwear.

Bennethums is fine restaurant if you want a romantic dinner for two, a gathering of friends, or for a small family with children. The atmospere is cozy and dark in the evening. Their lunch menu is a little pricey, though. They have a nice bar for gathering as a small group as well. Their chef works hard to provide interesting, tasty meals for you choose.

We are local, and eat at the Bamboo Palace frequently. It is often empty, but much or their business is take-out. The food is very good, and three levels of spice are offered for hot dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Diana's Delight is a really cute little place that we like to visit when we are in Gaylord. They offer some fantastic meals at a reasonable cost. The desserts are also something special and if you don't save room, you should get one to go.
