A must for anyone visiting Gatlinburg with children! Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is AMAZING!
They do a rotation of a special exhibit which is always fantastic. We visit every year and are never disappointed.
I suggest going as soon as they open to avoid the crowds.

I'm not really sure how much I liked the Ripley's Believe it or Not! Museum. It had it' good points and it's bad. It really loved the creepy and unusual things, but hated the over pricing and crowds. Some exibits weren't even working. I think I would have really liked it if things had been in working order.

The Gatlinburg skylift is so fun. It takes you all the way up and down the mountain. It is such a beautiful view no matter what season it is! You can get off at the top and go into the little gift shop they have up there. Probably would not recomend if you are afraid of heights.

An observation deck extending 400-feet above the Pigeon River gives visitors a panoramic view of the Great Smoky Mountains. The “space needle” is family owned and operated. Built in 1970, the “space needle” is the main spotlight in Gatlinburg. It was pretty fun. The movie is really cool and it can even be scary at times. I do caution you when you first stanf up because I was a little bit dizzy. It is really really overpriced and the ride doesn't last long enough. Not sure it would be worth the money to go again.

This was a pretty great haunted house for ther price. The props and haunting decorations were as if they were designed for a horror film. Done by experts. I loved it and the frightening experience. The hall with several doors, the wishing well, the hall with the blacklit steps, the balcony, and so much more. It was scary and fun.

More
In 1999, Ripley’s acquired property once known as the Grimsby & Streaper Casket Company. Although advised by locals that unnatural things went on inside, Ripley’s began conducting tours of the former casket factory until decisions were made on how better to utilize this valuable property. Now is your chance to visit the factory, closed permanently in 1926 due to the strange disappearance of both company owners.
A bit freaky but also one of those things that you just have to see for yourself. You don't want to visit this place alone, it's just tooo scary!
