Alfred and Charlies BQ House is the best place to go for barbeque in Gaston County. YOu have to ask for what you want sometimes but waitstaff is not always on their toes. The best variety of sauces i have ever seen in my entire life! After reading the harsh reviews from other citysearch members i decided to check it out myself. Darlene and Alfred, the two owners of this awesome restaurant, are very nice with southern hospitality. I highly recomend this place. Good pit cooked barbeque, steaks, ribs, chicken of any kind, and banana pudding, you cant forget the banana pudding. It is usually crowded on saturday mornings, but it really is the best.
Pros: Inexpensive, Nice waitstaff, Good Location

When you get the food it is good but the service needs some help they are slow and have more younger people working for them. I would not recommend them to anyone. And if you are in hurry do not bother. More like a slow cooking to me.
