I've been in the furniture business for awhile and will give you some helpful advice. First thing first; YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!'':If you here this from a sales person, some of you may even listen and ingest it. It is not Kimbrells fault that you cant afford high end quality furniture at a low to mid-in price. If you are looking to purchase furniture that will last 20 years plus then stay away from low to mid-in furniture. You need to go to Wayside or 2 to 3 steps higher than HIGH END. For example: if you purchase a sofa for $500 to $800 and it lasts three to six years or more then congrats; you must of taken good care and not let the kids jump up and down on the sofa or let the dog rip the arm off. Know your product. A good sales person should know; at the least what is under your upholstery. However; if you start asking the sales person for the molecular breakdown of the material; then sorry but you are to anal and wasting there time. This is not to say that the sales person should not know about the durability of fabrics and the frames of the product; but when you are constantly dogging the furniture or someone who is trying to help you, you may be asked to leave. Give yourself time. In the furniture industry today there money is just as tight as yours. The consumer must be aware that with the harsh economy furniture stores are desperately trying to keep costs down. To do this there purchasing is done through container. These containers must be filled before transport and could take several weeks to several months. If you are moving or know you are going to need furniture in the near future then you better plan on buying today. By being patient you can expect to purchase what you really want and not have to settle for what is just in stock.Don't over-shop. If you have been in more than five or six furniture stores or have been shopping for more than three mont

In 2002 I purchased furniture from Kimbrells and the quality was not too bad. Since then I am not sure what happened. Because, when I returned to purchase more furniture the quality as well as the appearance of the store had declined tremendously. I gave Kimbrells another chance because I had no problems with the furniture I previously purchased from them. However, this was not true the second time. I purchased a sofa with recliners on each end when I saw the sofa in the store I did not realize this was an issue, but the arm rest of the sofa are so loose I am afraid the sides of my sofa is going to fall apart, I also purchased a TV stand from them 2 years ago for 150.00 it's so shaky and unstable from being poorly assembled that it ready for the garbage. I spent nearly $1500.00 on furniture that is not even worth half of that. I am positive it's safe to say Kimbrells is selling cheap furniture at high cost to customers. Did the owners of Kimbrells change between 2002? I dont know but something terrible went wrong. Kimbrells products currently may be perfect for the ghetto but by all means I will NEVER furnish my home through them again. Consumers beware, if you want furniture that is not going to fall apart dont shop here.

It is a known FACT that the current manager of this particular location is a convicted felon. The manager has a over 10 felony convcictions. It is a scary fact that I formerly had an account that was written by the stores manager. Upper management (including owner)are aware of this, and have turned a blind eye. I have also been informed that this manager currently has criminal chargers pending.
They include assault on a female, and another felony indictment of a
convicted felon possessing a firearm. It is a shame that this company prides themselves on great customer service and values, but lets someone write contracts involving large amounts of money who has a long wrap sheet. In my opinion, the public should at least be aware of who they are really dealing with. The information on the managers background and current charges are public records, but Kimbrells is hiding it. Closing my account makes me feel better because my hard earned money is not going to a company that hires felons, or fails to do background checks. If you read this make a point to let your friends and family know the real story before they decide to give all their personal information to an employee who cannot be trusted. I have been made aware of this particular employees records and current charges by small talk, but who knows what other employees might be hiding. Shame on Kimbrells for representing themselves as a business of integrity.
