This place is a somewhat traditional Sushi restaurant being in the Asian enclave of Gardena. It's atmosphere is casual but subdued. Never usually more than a half-dozen customers at nights. Clientele ranges from Caucasian (myself) and Mexican to Korean and serious Japanese.
I have been many times over the years and my mom is a regular as well. We have had generally good food and experiences but a couple times a different chef has made it disappointing. Aki I think is the main chef and maybe co-owner too, he's the one to sit by at the bar. Service is quick and polite.
I would rate the fish 8 out of 10 usually. The Dodger roll is a great original specialty and one that we order each time. It almost tastes like a hot dog but don't be put off by that description. It's a great tasting spicy tuna type roll. They have daily specials on a board above the bar with a small tv on the side always playing sports. They have beer and a modest selection of sake too.
Recommended if you are familiar with the South Bay area but not one to drive out of your way for.

This place is fun just to look around even if you don't buy anything. It looks like you've entered somebody's garden. There are literally hundreds of fruit trees, flowers, and beautiful plants. They have a huge selection of roses too. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Yuzu tree (citrus tree - the fruit is very aromatic and can be used to scent soaps/candles )

This is like forever21 clothes with walmart prices!!! The clothes here are super cheap, but they are reallllly cute too. They always have a sale rack that is usually 2 for $10. They have the BEST shoes around.

I was a fan of Strictly Custom from the first time I met with them on a consultation. They are the epitomy of professionalism. I was very impressed with their drawings and follow through every step of the way through our joint construction project and would enjoy working with them again.
