This restaurant is great! The decoration is nice. My favorite part is that you can pick your fresh sea food live in front of you. When I was little I used to love looking at the fish tanks. The food is really great! I love their dim sum.

My husband and the in-laws have been going to Lomeli's Italian Restaurant for over 30 years. I am so glad he introduced me to this establishment! Their thick crust sausage pizza is just heavenly! So cheesy and delicious! Takes a little longer to bake but so worth it! Their pastas are also terrific. The dinners and combos also come with soup or salad, dessert, and wine! The restaurant is a little dark and not fancy. It has a little godfather ambiance with the high back leather chairs. The staff is extremely friendly. Whenever we leave, the owner always shouts out see you tomorrow! If you are ever in the South Bay, please try them out!

For years I have been passing this place up, but recently curiosity and a love for Japanese cuisine finally got to me. It has never failed - every time I've been by any of the South Bay Curry Houses during lunch or dinner, they are absolutely packed with people - mostly of Asian descent. And, as we all know, that is never a bad sign. I ordered the Beef Katsu Curry, which comes as a large panko-breaded patty on rice, slathered in your choice of curry spice level (I went for the mild), and a side salad with your choice of dressing. The curry sauce was rich yet not greasy, and there was almost too much for the amount of rice and meat on the plate. The beef was juicy and fried nicely, the panko breading really made it. The salad was topped with a ginger dressing (called Japanese dressing), which tasted great after the rich curry. Menu items here are no more than $15, and most are under $10. The staff is mostly Japanese and very friendly and attentive - despite hitting the lunch rush, I was in and out in 35 minutes.
Check out the website to see their full menu offerings, and thanks for reading.
Pros: food, service, cleanliness, price
Cons: parking at peak times, small place

MMMMMMM, the bread they make is always just warm and delicious. Thats what is so delightful about this place. It always makes me feel like a kid in a candy store. The freshly warm bread is always mouth-watering.
The only bad thing about it is how crowded it is and it takes a while to get the bread on sunday mornings. Otherwise, its the perfect bakery.

The mochi here is some of the best you'll ever eat. Almost bursting with bean jam these fat confections look as good as they taste. Their orange gyuuhi (probably the best thing there) however, has no beans in it but has a slight orange taste (at least I think it does but it could just be the color deceiving me). Their ohagi (the smooth version) is good too, the mochi rice inside being very moist and just mushy enough). The lady at the counter can be kind of slow in getting the mochi in the box, but she wraps it in paper and ties the ribbon very fast. You can tell she's been doing that for a while.

I am Japanese and I highly recommend this Japanese restaurant. Their food is very authentic and have real Izakaya atmosphere.
Izakaya is a type of Japanese drinking establishment. It has lots of different kind of appetizers and booze.
Usually it comes in small portion and share with friends. (so that you can try many kinds of food. It's a bit like Tapas restaurant in Spain. But foods are cooked to order)
Don't miss famous Tebasaki(chicken wing) and house salad(house dressing is the best).
Box dinner is OK but I recommend to order several dishes a la cart.
If you are not sure with what to order, talk to people at next table. Because talking to stranger is a tradition of Izakaya. Eat, Drink and make new friends!

The variety of plants in the Pacific Nursery is more than enough. They have almost any plant you could think of, the have trees, big and small. They even have plants like the venus fly trap.
And much like the local pet store, the people who work there give advice to those who have any questions about plants and landscaping. Thats how we started our own plant garden in our backyard

I grew up eating at Sakae. As I have grown and experienced dozens of other kinds of sushi and sushi restaurants across the U.S, I must say that I prefer Sakae's very small menu over everyone elses, at times, menu of a hundred. I truly believe Sakae is better than gourmet.
