Order the tebasaki wings for maximum flavor. I know eating all the chicken skin is not healthy for you, but you have to indulge yourself every once in a while right?

I am Japanese and I highly recommend this Japanese restaurant. Their food is very authentic and have real Izakaya atmosphere.
Izakaya is a type of Japanese drinking establishment. It has lots of different kind of appetizers and booze.
Usually it comes in small portion and share with friends. (so that you can try many kinds of food. It's a bit like Tapas restaurant in Spain. But foods are cooked to order)
Don't miss famous Tebasaki(chicken wing) and house salad(house dressing is the best).
Box dinner is OK but I recommend to order several dishes a la cart.
If you are not sure with what to order, talk to people at next table. Because talking to stranger is a tradition of Izakaya. Eat, Drink and make new friends!

Went to lunch and got the combination and was good. I had the wings with tonkatsu, came with salad, soup, and rice for under $8. For the amount of food, it was a good deal and the food and service was good. I will go back for lunch, have not been for dinner.

The chickens wings are SO amazingly good there, that the folks at my company have standing lunch plans for every Friday! The wings are amazing! Like dry ribs, they aren't saucy and overly meaty. The wings are small but there's enough that's get you full...especially with the miso soup, the salad with miso dressing, and the side of cabbage with a touch of crumbled tuna. Perfect for lunch. Regardless of the day of the week, just get there early if you want lunch, cuz it gets filled VERY quickly. They have some great lunch combos are well. You can't go wrongt with anything on the menu. BUT i still highly highly highly recommend the teba (aka chicken wings)!
