I purchased from Larry St. John several months ago, even after being warned not to by another person. I waited about 3 months for my furniture. But the worst part is that it's the cheapest crap I've ever purchased and my order was wrong. Their customer service department was terrible when I complained...never even returned my call. Their store is very strange with birds and a pirate theme. I've subsequently heard of many other people's disatisfaction. Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for!
Cons: Terrible quality, Terrible service

This Eagle Rock location is a satellite showroom of the Larry St. John furniture warehouse down in Carson. Their sofas start at $600 and if you have ever looked for all hardwood framed furniture you know this is a good deal. Most styles of sofas and chairs can be customized to your specs with choices from 44 to 48 seats, pillowbacks vs. solid backs, down vs. wrapped foam, leather vs slipcovers etc. and more. They make a large number of their own sofas and pride themselves on being comparable to Pottery Barn, Eddie Bauer Home and that like in quality and appearance but their prices are close to 1/2. If you need furniture and are in the Pasadena area take a look at the Eagle Rock location. Parking is a bit tough and the building doesn't have A/C right now, but the inventory is worth it. The Carson location is much larger with more on display but I believe you can get whatever you need ordered. This weekend I saw an $800 leather club chair. I was sitting in it for a full 5 minutes before I figured out that it was a recliner as well. I am not really into recliners, but this one looked so nice as a chair I am looking forward to buying two. Definitely worth a look if you are in the market for furniture. The sales people are very pleasant and helpful. There are pricing sheets for the various sofas that are easy to understand. They also carry armoires, entertainment centers, dining, coffee and accent tables as well as ottomans. Definitely worth a look.
PROS: Quality furniture at great prices
CONS: parking - street and tough to find on weekends
