I have been in the BMWCCA for 25+ years. I have owned several very clean showcars and daily drivers. I have also experienced a variety of "BMW Mechanics"/shops over the years, I have been bringing my cars to HOA & Tang for the last several years and cannot be more pleased.Hoa is a great mechanic and diagnostcian, he is super fair and extremely trustworthy. I would not bring my cars to anyone else.ALAN

Hoa is a superb mechanic. He's a purist and will only work on cars he likes. My car, until I sold it recently, was one of the few Japanese cars that he worked on. Although he is primarily a BMW and Mercedes mechanic, he made my car run great, as well as the Honda dealership would have done. And, since he's honest, he didn't recommend fixing anything that wasn't broken, unlike my experience at the dealership. I agree with another assessment posted on this site, you don't break your wallet at the mechanic. The shop is well run and his staff is extremely nice. :)

If you have a BMW this is the place to take it . It's one shop where "Break My Wallet" doesn't hold true. Hoa is was trained as a BMW master mechanic and does excellent work , and charges very affordable prices. These guys are honest, upfront, and really love these cars. If you have an E30 chassy, even better--it's their speciality! I have a 318is and they've always taken perfect care of it. John Norris in Santa Monica is also supposed to be excellent , but he is more expensive so I've never taken my car to him.
