So, some friends were out attempting to get an ear piercing completed at this place. Not sure why since they overcharge at around $30 and Walmart will do it for free. Anyways, the artist and his assistant were quite rude about the entire thing, as if we were inconveniencing them at 10pm on a Tuesday by trying to get this done. Needless to say, they accept cash only and we were a little short, which provided us a nice out of the establishment.
Bottom Line: Even if you're drunk, just go further down the seawall to one of 3-4 other places.

Let me say, this is a very nice place to get a haircut. Being a male means not really caring about who cuts your hair, as long as it's cheap. At Lulu things are different. They work a little harder than your typical Supercuts and the end product is well worth the extra cash (which isn't really all that much more). The stylists are perfectly willing to dole out some advice if you're looking for something different and new. All in all, I'd say this experience was extremely positive.
Bottom Line: stop wasting time at Fantastic Sams or Supercuts, this is the place to go for a good haircut/shampoo at a good price.

I recently got married in Galveston and LuLu's provided the best service and awesome hair styles for my wedding party of 12. I had planned for a year did my research to find this salon and it's true they were the best.
Leslie, the manager worked very hard to book 2 days of beauty services for 12 people. We had manicures, pedicure, facials, massages and hair styles and had a great time. Kudos to LuLu's

I'm not a yoga buff, but friends have told me this place is nice. I decided to take a chance, and although not quite sure what to look for, it seemed alright. The class was rather small, but the instructor was nice and helpful. She could tell I was a newbie, and had no problem offering suggestions. By the end I felt a little more relaxed than when I had arrived. Yoga isn't for me I've decided, but if it was, I would certainly go back here.
Bottom Line: If you like it, or are truly interested in pursuing yoga, this is a comfortable place in which to do it. Have fun.

Just like medical students learn to be doctors on patients, cosmetologists and the like need to learn their craft as well. This means that those who do not have the money, or simply do not care about the end result, allow students to practice on their hair. I did this once, and truthfully, the end result was ok. It likely could have been worse, and certainly could have been better. However, because I knew what I was in for ahead of time I did not feel bad. The student was very nice and did a great job of engaging me while she was cutting.
Bottom Line: Go here if strapped for cash, or if you just want to let a student practice on your difficult cowlick.

I love this place. I have been going to La Moda for several years now and have never had a bad appointment. I have found all the stylists to bend over backwards to accomodate any request that I or any of my friends have ever made.
Pros: Everyone is very professional and courteous
Cons: Sometimes long time span between visits
