This is THE restaurant to get Peking Duck! Where else can you find a whole Peking Duck served at $10.95??? The restaurant itself is not eye catching, but in my opinion, it's one of the best Chinese restaurant in the area, easily. Besides their Peking ducks, their other items on the menu are awesome, too. I've tried several dishes over there and I haven't had any major disappoints, yet. The place is often packed during dinner time, and the waitresses seem to be very good at what they are doing. They know about the foods that they serve and you might want to try to ask what they recommend.

While I love the quality and selection of the foods at Whole Foods, the prices are often too steep. Trader Joe's provides a good alternative, selling some, but not all organic foods, and carrying many of the specialty items under their own label to keep the prices low. They offer a money back guarantee on all their items--If you taste it, and you don't like it, they'll take it back and refund your money. I've never taken anything back, but I like the philosophy. It's a store with character, too. The store is decorated with hand drawn sketches, and the boating theme carries throughout the store. They offer samples sometimes in the afternoons/ evenings. In particular, their cheese selection is excellent at very reasonable prices.

A lot of times, you get a little bit bored of the same ol’ same ol’ grocery experience and you need something a little more exciting. Well, Grand Mart is definitely a different experience for the typical shopper. It has a wide variety of Asian products and many Hispanic products as well, but the best reason to come is the fresh produce at excellent prices and the extensive seafood department. Because of the volume of product that moves through the store, the items are almost always visibly fresher than comparable items at other more traditional grocery stores. The store is owned by Koreans, and there is a small, overpriced Korean food stand inside the store that deservedly doesn’t get much business, but the rest of the store is packed. Often, I feel as if I am in another country when I step in the doors as a wide range of nationalities is represented, and the choice of music is usually upbeat world music from around the globe. So, if you don’t mind crowds and you like fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh seafood, or want to try out some funky asian products, Grand Mart is the place to go.

This store has some of the best prices in the area, usually has good produce and their weekly sales on meat are often the best in the area. It is conveniently located next to a Circuit City, so you can dump the kids and husband, (or wife) and they can ogle big screen TVs for the 30 minutes or so it usually takes to shop. It is a small store, and doesn’t carry every item, but it has almost everything a normal shopper is looking for, and the two self-check out lines speed up your exit. The checkers are usually quick and friendly, and the customer service desk has never refused to give me a refund yet in the three times I have had an issue with a purchase. If you’re frugal and you don’t like wasting time, it’s hard to beat Magruders.

They serve great, chewy, thick pizza crust-pizza. Period.
The pizza is great, the crust is fabulous.
The ingredients are fresh, and the price is more than Dominoe's - but then so is the quality!
The menu includes other Italian specialties (the eggplant parmensan is awesome!) as well as sandwiches and more.
The house salad is only ok, but the balsamic house dressing is great!
They are VERY friendly to kids, and are always willing to bring out an extra plate, cup or a bowl of olives.
We think it's simply the best pizza, and are very glad they now deliver to the Germantown area!
The other great part about it, is that it's located in the Kentlands. It's nice to take a stroll around the town center after you eat, and work off some of those calories!
