I had a very pleasant stay at Windmeadows. I had a couple problems with maintence, and although they weren't all fixed immediately, they did all get fixed before too long. My apartment was very spacious, and very nice. The staff was all very friendly, as well, and there are quite a few amenitites, as well. I only moved out because I could no longer afford my apartment.

The apartments are old, but the maintenance crew do its best to solve problems as quickly as possible. Mostly med and vet students, this is a quiet place. It's pretty cheap, the apartments are big, and the location is really good (walking distance to campus and on four bus routes).

Wild Iris is the longest running feminst bookstore in Florida and it's just down the street from the University of Florida. Great women's books, feminist theory, best sellers, children's books and textbooks too. You can find female positive and gay positive gifts, movies and cards too.
Wild Iris often has book signings, poetry readings and Independent Musicians playing in the backroom.
This is not a bookstore you want to miss.

And when needed, they tell you what they think would look good or not. The workers and friendly and the service is great.

Besides being just across the street from my neighborhood the thing I like the most about Wild Birds Unlimited is that the folks there remember your name!
You can be out in the community and bump into them and it might take you a minute to place how you know them but they immediately recognize you as a customer, remember your name and ask you about your birds (or squirrels in my case!).
Friendly and always willing to help.

I had my wedding reception catered by these guys and wow what an amazing job! They were prompt and went through everything with me and my husband and followed through on EXACTLY what we wanted for the reception. They did a flawless job and everything went smootly the entire time. The food was delectable and a lot of people who were guests were raving about it. This is the place to call if you are having any kind of elegant, formal party/reception. They do a superb job. Highly reccomended.
