I went to this place because my friends suggested it, but when I received my food I was terribly disappointed. The restaurant is not authentic, the pho was cooked improperly, and they had fed my vegetarian friend "vegetarian pho" which is impossible, since the broth is cooked with beef. Any Vietnamese person who grew up with the culture can tell you that pho is made with bo tai (raw beef that is sliced paper thin and cooked in the boiling broth as it is brought out). This pho did not have bo tai, tripe, and there was even chicken in it, despite my order being beef pho. The only thing that would make me consider going back is the service that ONE of the waiters had. The other waitress laughed at my friend's vegetarian order, which I found to be exceptionally rude and also failed to return the correct change. The price at the restaurant is not any better than other places really. One cannot say that this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Gainesville without saying that it is the worst one as well, because in all honesty, it is the ONLY Vietnamese restaurant in gainesville.

I have eaten at many vietnamese restaurants from Orlando to Miami and I must say this is like one of the most authentic. Great taste and great flavor. The enviroment is very homey and makes you feel like your in your own kitchen in your own house. If you get a chance to eat here don't pass it up.

I've been here twice now, and overall I have to say it's one of the best restaurants in Gainesville. The prices are low, low, low -- great for college students and others on a budget. Portions are wonderfully large, and the food is very tasty. Nothing on the menu is over 8 dollars -- very refreshing! The atmosphere isn't anything to die for, but that doesn't really matter, as you'll be too busy enjoying the food to care. Oh, and service is very quick. Overall, a great place to eat.
