They didn't want to give me a price until they got information from me, no doubt to figure out how much to try to charge me. They reluctantly gave a price. They wanted to just give me a monthly payment amount. They also gave me an out the door price that included a hidden $400 in dealer fees. They can charge whatever fees they want but they should be upfront about it.
I'll buy my Toyotas elsewhere. I left feeling like I just got done talking to con-men.

***Wow****We have been on a waiting list for a Prius locally (Lansing MI) for about 6 months. We have 500.00 invested for this waiting list and are still getting a run around. My mother in law called Ross Murphy at Gatorland and we will have our car in two weeks. Unbelievable. Ryan Fisher the sales manager called and confirmed this transaction. Both of these employees were wonderful. If you live in FL this is the place to go for your car purchase. I am so impressed. It is not just the fact we can get our car but the followup from Ryan and Ross that makes it comfortable. They returned calls and made certain that we were informed of all the details of the transaction. This is more that we have ever received from a car dealership. We are not affiliated with Gatorland nor do we know Ryan or Ross. We just know that they have provided a service above and beyond what we have experienced in the past. Please consider this dealership when looking for a car. We think it will be worth your effort.

I have bought 4 vehicles from Gatorland Toyota. The most recent one being purchased last week. Every purchase I was treated with dignity and respect! I have read some of the other comments posted and wondered what the other side of the story was. I dealt with Ryan Fischer one of the sales managers, and he was an absolute treat to deal with along with my salesman, and the rest of the staff. I have recommended all of my friends and family members to Gatorland Toyota, and they have all raved about their excellent treatment. With the negative stigma attached to car people, I figured they needed some deserved credit where credit is due. I will continue to do business with Gatorland Toyota because of the the excellent buying experience they provide.

I purchased a used vehicle from Gatorland, the salesman was ill equipped and the manager rude. I love toyotas and made the mistake to continue after being treated poorly. I purchased a matrix, loved the car, and also bought the bumper to bumper coverage (which, by the way, is useless). A few months after purchasing the car, I needed to travel to a colder climate. The service department did not use a windshield wiper fluid that would resist freezing, resulting in a cracked reservoir. Gatorland would not pay for the repairs. They also would not pay for the tires that have tread separation after only 6 months of owning the car (25000 miles total on the car) even though it was evident the cause was from being left on their lot too long before purchase. I have been treated rudely by both service department employees and management. Good luck if anything goes wrong when you buy from them. They will do everything to avoid fixing problems they are the cause of and have little experience with customer service.

I went to Gatorland Kia to buy a car because an ad on the radio said the dealership offered $5000 minimum trade-in allowance. After getting through all the paperwork to buy the car, we were told the trade-in allowance only applied if you were buying a Kia Sedona. That was a deal breaker and we left. As we were leaving, the ad came on the radio. No where in it did it say on select models like the finance manager told me. I know the ads are designed to get you in the dealership, but they should at least be truthful!!!

I bought my first brand new car last year from a Toyota dealership back home in St. Petersburg, Fl. Since I live in Gainesville, I go to Gatorland to get my oil changed, check ups etc...Today I went to get my oil changed at the Toyota dealership, like I always do. Here is the letter I ended up writing to the president of that branch:
Today I went to your dealership to get my oil changed. I called and asked for the hours of the service department and was told that they were open on Saturdays until 3pm. Due to my busy work week schedule, the only day I can come to your dealership to get my oil changed is on Saturdays. I??????m not always able to make it on Saturday mornings, like I usually do. Today I hurried to get there, but did not end up arriving until 2:43 P.M.
A nice gentleman greeted me, and I asked if there was still time for me to get my oil changed. He said of course, and he would go get someone to come and take my information. After waiting for two minutes, a young blonde girl, with a clip board, came out and greeted me. After she asked if she could help me, I told her that I was getting my oil changed, since I was a thousand miles over. She kind of gave me a look and let me know that we closed in ten minutes. The way she said it made me think that she was able to get me in, but since they were closing in ten minutes, I would be inconveniencing her and whomever else that was going home that day. I told her that a service man told me that I could get it done, and that it was only 2:45 and they closed at 3pm. She then went on to tell me ??????well we ARE opened during these hours on the weekdays...?????? and then she proceeded to ramble off the store hours. I let her know that those hours wouldn??????t help me, and I said thank you and drove off. I looked back to see another man come to talk to her, which I??????m sure he was wondering what just happened. I then saw him c

The sales manager Ryan Fischer was rude, condescending and pompous. He needs a HUGE lesson in customer service. He was very demanding and kept asking question that I was unsure about and when I said I don't know, he kept on insisting I answer, which made me feel very uncomfortable.. I have never met anyone so mean in my life. Oh and when we asked for his superior's name, he said I AM THE BOSS ...so full of himself. We got the name from the front desk, though he did eventually come out and give it to us himself. Even when I told him he was rude, he did not apologize. A simple I'm sorry if it came that way, that is how a manager should act, instead of HOW AM I RUDE?
we're buying a HONDA
The salesperson on the other hand was very nice and helpful.

When I wanted to see some new and used cars earlier this year, I went to this dealer. The waiting room is not that customer friendly, only a couple small tables and small round chairs in the corners. The representative served us is very nice, but it seems that they don't have a lot of test drive models for you to choose, and we didn't get the car to test drive the same day after waiting for about an hour.
