We had a lovely stay at the Hilton and were delighted to find that there was a jazz quartet that played in the lounge on Tuesday evening!! We went for a swim while the group was setting up and then came back down later for a snack at the bar and to watch/listen to the group. Very lovely experience!!

I used Alachua movers for a short move from Gainesville to High Springs. I had already packed my stuff and just wanted someone to do the "grunt" work. They arrived on time and had my stuff loaded carefully in a flash! When we got to my new house they unloaded and arrainged my big pieces for me before they left. Nothing got scratched. They were careful, fast and CHEAP. I can't believe I didn't do this the last time I moved. It was great and I didn't even break a sweat.

this is one of the best museums i've been to in a while. i've been around the world, seen alot of different museums. and for a local museum, this one is pretty good. alot of fun for the kids to go to. definately a must see location. i suggestion this place to all the young folks i come in contact with. it's always a good place to learn in such a clean enviorment!

This service is also a cheaper and faster alternative to Greyhound, if you need to do a Gainesville-Miami trip without a car. Good service, responsible driver, always on time. As with the other company that provides this service, the only problem is that they travel only Thursdays- Sundays, so if you want to do the trip midweek you are going to have to take the Greyhound.

This hotel has lots of personality. It's a favorite for parents and visitors to the University of Florida. when i put myself in the place of a gator i tell myself to stop here at the cabot lodge.because not only is it a clean clear room, with a pretty ceiling fan, but it has a beautiful warm bed with clean sheets and a pillow waiting just for me. The breakfast buffet, which is included with the room, is large and includes cereal, fruit, pastries, juices, French toast and other such goodies.

We've been going to the Rush Lake Motel for nearly 20 years on Gator Football weekends - not as much in recent years since I've moved out of state. My last stay there was for Homecoming in 2004.
Rush Lake used to be one of the more popular hotels in Gainesville before Cabot Lodge and then the Hilton and all the newer hotels opened. It is pretty great rate and the hotel is close to campus and a short cab ride to downtown. Plus, Steak and Shake is right across the street for the late night after bar food.
It is not the most modern but we've always liked staying here.

Pretty clean rooms. Good price. Friendly service, convenient to Interstate 75. They always suggest good places to eat and let me know how to get around the traffic for gator games. Last season they told me about Joe's Place off of 39th Ave. What a great place for wings and beer or a steak. Salad bar too. Close to Best Western.
