i go here to get my text books for college, and I always enjoy the vast selection of intelectuall property books and the big shelves hold many secrets, lik ereally good books. i was suprised taht they had all of my favorite books, every one of them. this place is truly worthy of carying the name of florida on it. im proud to ahve this store in my local town of gainesville. makes you proud to be a gator.

Wild Iris is the longest running feminst bookstore in Florida and it's just down the street from the University of Florida. Great women's books, feminist theory, best sellers, children's books and textbooks too. You can find female positive and gay positive gifts, movies and cards too.
Wild Iris often has book signings, poetry readings and Independent Musicians playing in the backroom.
This is not a bookstore you want to miss.

i really like this place! i enjoy reading very much, so when i heard about this lpace from a friend, i was glad to get a break from the norm of places like books a million and other mass produced gigantic monster un able to find the bok you need book store types. it really has a well sorted and massive selection of the greatest books under the sun. i love this place. come here for whatever you want, when ever you want.

This bookstore has been around for quite some time and they have very decent pricing. The wait is sometimes long and especially at the beginning of the semester. If you plan to pick up a used textbook I would do so before the rush because they usually run out fast. Also, if you need to pick up a used textbook, I would suggest going to their website and taking their little survey to get a 10% off any used textbook coupon for completeing the survey. Also, they always have freebies for students at the front of the door so grab some while you can.

Although the other Goerings has the better book selection, this is a great source of magazines, from Cosmopolitan to Art Forum. English professors tend to order here. A plus of this place is not only that it is locally owned, but that they will make every effort to bring as many as the required used books for classes as possible, A quiet added cafe makes this store a good place for reading in between classes, specially now that the nearby Java Lounge has closed.

I don't need to shop at the Library of Congress. I go out to a bookstore to browse books and buy them when I feel like it. I am seldom on a mission to get a particular book. If I am, I call ahead.
What I love about this place is the coffee bar. It's a great "date-night" for me and my wife to go to BAM, gather some reading, entertain each other with what we've found, and have a coffee I can't make at home. This means I never have to feel guilty when I decide NOT to buy something. After all, I just consumed $6 worth of cappucino.
B&N, Goerings, Fla Bookstore may all be top notch for research, but there is zero ambiance

This locally owned bookstore carries an excellent selection of non-mainstream fiction and non-fiction. They also have a really nice used section. Although you may not find as many discounts as in a national store, their selection is better if you want to read something else besides Stephen King. They also hold monthly poetry and book readings by local authors.

Barnes and Noble is one of my favorite stores because they always have such a great selection of books, cds, movies and magezines to choose from. The staff usually just goes about their ways but sometimes they are having good days and they are really friendly. They also usually have great deals. and their online store is so great and easy to navigate. i think everyone should shop here atleast once in their life.

i also visit this book store whenever i am in gainesville, fl and suprisingly, they often have different "gator" items than the other stores. the staff is great and of course they carry every collage edition book you could ever need. they also offer an ordering service and pick up or home deilivery, which is helpful for those constantly on the go!
