Back Alley may get a bad rap because its in the Fullerton bar district but what it really comes down to is that its a laid back comfortable place to go. There are bands, a juke box, 2 pool tables, no cover, decently priced good size drinks, a back patio, and a order window kitchen. The people who own, operate, and hang out at the bar are very kick back and rarely are there any fights. I would recommend this place highly!

ive been here a couple times...and i would sayyy the more hammered you are the better. its either a**hole-to-elbow crowded in a highschool-dance like setting or dead. ive heard some good bands play every once in awhile...but its definately not my number one choice...then again it's fullerton, dont set the expectation too high ;)

This place was terrible. I felt like I was at a high school dance the way the bouncers and bartenders were constantly bossing us around. I understand that there are fire codes and rules but the people there acted like authoritative jerks. I was shoved into a corner on numerous occasions because apparently there are invisible lines up telling us where we are and aren't allowed to stand. I went there to have a good time and I ended up having one of the most frustrating and degrading nights I've ever had. Learn to treat your CUSTOMERS with some dignity and respect! I will NEVER go there again and warn everyone against it.

This place was terrible. I felt like I was at a high school dance the way the bouncers and bartenders were constantly bossing us around. I understand that there are fire codes and rules but the people there acted like authoritative jerks. This bar is in a great location for bar hopping. Lots of local bars within walking distance as well as many restaurants if you want to get a bite to eat. On Friday nights they always have a live band. The bartenders are friendly and know how to pour a good drink. A fun place to be!

This place seemed really nice at first then within the next 30 mins got horrible. After 2 drinks my friends(whose bday it was) got cut bcecause she forgot to tip(she wasnt drunk previously) this was on a monday as well so it wasnt like they were packed or anything. All but 1 of the meatheads....i mean bouncers seemed like they had small mans complex and tried to bully all of 15 people there. The night ended by me watching a girl fight that was taking place there when the bouncers broke it up bu grabbing the girls hair and hurling them to the ground. This seemed extremely unnecessary escpecially when there were only 2 girls and like 4 bouncers that were 3 times the girls size. After this occurred they yelled racial remarks at the 2 parties invloved as they glouted about "messing up those b*tches1" That ended the night for me as well as my future with this bar. The only way ill come back is if they hire entire new staff(exceptions to that 1 bouncer). Pros: Local, Pitchers of beer Cons: horrible service, racism, 50 cent and Fergi constantly on jukebox

One bouncer was extremly rude with no sense of customer service. He would not explain to me why I could not renter the establishment without first telling him of my leaving. He refused service. I figured out later that they had a line to let people in and out due to firecode standards. It would have been nice to be told that. The bartender could not work the credit machine either. I will never be back. Pros: Good Wait Service, Nice location Cons: Bad customer service
