Don't accidentally leave anything behind at Herbs, especially if it has any sort of value. The owner will claim that she has it and will get it back to you but after weeks of trying to get it back (including several phone calls and emails) you will find out that it was stolen by one of their employees in the meantime and nobody had the guts or bothered to let you know this. I call this terrible management and dishonest customer service. HERBS is truely a shameful dot on the city of Friday Harbor's map. Pros: Really disgusting and dirty establishment Cons: Dishonest and rude owner and manager (Gail and Shelley)

My husband and I stopped in for a beer while we waited for some friends to get off the ferry. The pitchers are well priced, the best beer prices we found in all the restaurants we sampled that day. We enjoyed a pitcher and then returned later in the day. Decent bar food and the service was good. A good old fashioned tavern with lots of stuff to look at on the walls and several TV's with an array of sports. I'm sure we'll return if we go back to Friday Harbor. Pros: Good beer prices

True, I haven't been to Herb's in a few years, but I have trouble believing the really negative review by "drunktom". Perhaps the reviewer's name should provide a clue to the validity of his review. When I went there, the service was great, the food very good, and I listened to $5 worth of music. I plan on going back to the San Juans next spring and I can't wait to get back to Herb's! Pros: Friendly staff, good food, great jukebox. Cons: None--after all, this is a BAR--in case negative reviewers don't notice!

Nowhere on earth is there a more rude bar staff. The sign that greets you upon entrance is; "I'm busy, your ugly, have a nice day". I'm not kidding, this place is unreal. Hey I'm sorry you hate your job as a bartender so much. Go do something else if you hate people. Pros: Good location Cons: Stinks

We love a quick burger, beer, and cheap white wine and, now that we don't leave smelling like an ashtray, we can't wait to go back. There was a time that we endured the smoke to enjoy the local atmosphere but now that atmosphere, non-smoking, is easier to breath. A good place to meet lots of nice hard working folks and an occasional obnoxious boater ;-). The staff works hard to provide friendly service. Pros: Inexpensive, Pool Tables, Good Jukebox Cons: Not open 24hours

I would have to say the DIVE bar was a little out dated and would take that as DIVE-IN and have some fun at the Islands only local, friendly, Tavern in town! Pros: friendly service, great prices
