Carol School Supply is my favorite store. I have been a customer for 30 years. The toys and supplies are extraordinarily excellent. I never had a bad experience; I always found the staff to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I come in with an age and a price range, and I always get wonderful suggestions. The last toy I purchased was for a baby, and the parents were thrilled with the quality and uniqueness of it. I love to buy things made in the U.S.A., instead of China. Carol's has an outstanding selection. They also gift wrap.

People from all over the borough and city come to Carol's. Since I have lived here, it has expanded twice, and now it really has a great selection of merchandise. There re lots of things for teachers and parents alike. Yet it is a family store, so you can find a knowledgeable person to ask for what you can't find. The prices are not cheap, but neither is the merchandise. This is good quality stuff. You will find things here that you do not find in a toy store. definitely an asset to the community. Street parking is not easy, but I think there is a little bit behind the store.

That is about the only good thing I can say about this store. The frames are flimsy and prone to breaking easily. The atmosphere is non-existent. There is no place to sit down, or put anything down to try on the frames. The employees are rude and the customer is treated like dirt. As you can see, I did not like the place and would not go back. I will admit that I now pay a lot more for glasses, but I think it is worth it.
However, for anyone who does not have much money to spend on glasses, or who is not covered by some sort of insurance, I think that this is the cheapest place in the neighborhood to get them.

I joined an organization that I had no experience with and the very helpful folks at this store went out of their way to answer all of my questions even questions that I didn't think to ask. What was the most surprising was that they let me try the shoes on and let me WALK AROUND THE BLOCK! Not the store the whole block,I couldn't believe it.

My whole family has gone here for glasses for a number of years.
I have worn glasses for most of my life and have gotten them at many different types of places. I must say that because the bridge of my nose is narrow (while the rest of me is very wide), I never had a pair of glasses that would stay up. I went to Marsh's, and for the first time in my life, I have glasses that I am not constantly pushing up. Unfortunately for them, I may never get a new pair because I am so happy with these.
My younger son loses glasses. We have bought at least 3 or 4 pairs this year. They have been nice about reducing the price on some of them. I also took him for contacts, much against my better judgment because of his lack of caring for this glasses. Without my saying anything about that, they refused to sell him contacts until he learned to take care of his. I was impressed that they would pass up the money for the lenses. Well, maybe by the time he is 30, he will be ready!! We will continue going there.

There don't seem to be many Radio Shacks left. While Radio Shack seemed very avant guarde years ago, they seem quite blah to me now. I will admit that I have picked things up there that are not easy to get, so sometimes I have been very glad that this one is there. However, now that computers are so much more important in our lives, Radio Shack seems a little old fashioned and inadequate to me. I must not be the only one to feel this way since I see out-of-business Radio Shacks all over the place.

This is a great store for kids clothes. They have both boys and girls stuff. It is conveniently located right on Union Turnpike where there are a ton of other stores. The prices are reasonable. Worth a trip even if you are just browsing.

If you are a bargain shopper you should check this store out. It is like a dollar store but much more! They have everything you need for the home plus toys, books, clothes. You can spend fifty bucks in this store and walk out with a cart full of stuff! You won't be disappointed. Easy to park.

My sons are always going to Game Stop. They not only buy new games when they come out, but they trade in old games for credit toward new ones. You can also buy used games and systems. I, myself, have bought used DVDs. Although the store is not really big, there seems to be a good variety of items to buy. Again I rely on the opinion of my two sons and their friends since I am not an expert on this type of store. To me, everything seems expensive and unnecessary!
