Elephant Bar is a great (and expensive) alternative to Denny's and IHOP. In fact, the place itself is pretty much the end result if Denny's were to be charged into by an angry herd of rhinos. The place has fake giraffes and other exotic wild animals strewn about the place, putting it amongst of the few theme restaurants in the Bay.
Their menu also seems to have been developed in a similar fashion. It's pretty much anything you could probably find at Denny's except loaded with exotic twsists like the addition of fish and different styled sauces to many popular dishes. They also feature classic staples such as baby back ribs and alocoholic beverages.
The only downside the place really are the prices, which I believe we're 1.5x whatever Denny's or IHOP would typically charge.
If you like tasty food and you're tired of Denny's, give Elephant Bar a try. But if you're strapped for cash and afraid of ceramic zebras, I'd reccoment a place like Baldie's Cafe in Union City instead.

Even though the place offers nice menu at nice price the wait it really nice also. the food is just about right. what i really like about the place is menu has lot of variety and you might just find something for your taste. service is all right. their jambalaya is really nice i must say that. over all it is an ok place to go. if you have time on your hand to hang around in bar till your table is ready then its a good place for the money otherwise...

Elephant Bar offers a great Menu with a wonderful bar area in the premises. it is situated close by Borders bookstore for the people who do not want to wait to be seated. they can just take a number and go browse the bookstore until their time is up to be seated. The menu offers variety of different cuisine like Italian,Chinese,American,Hawaiian, African. The quality of food is great and the service is outstanding. this place gets crowded so go well ahead of time to get a number to be seated. You will defiently appreciate the African safari interior of the restaurant while you are dining with your significant other.

Went to celebrate an event one evening 8:00 p.m. Ordered an entree on the menu, the waiter came to us after 10 mins and said that they will not be able to serve that item as they ran out of it.
So we ordered another one. This time again the waiter came and said thay were out of the item we ordered. By this time it was around 9:30PM. So, we were about to get up and leave, the waiter suggested that he will get something really delicious for us at free of cost and finally got us something called "Jambalaaya". It was delicious and as promised we were charged only for the drinks.
Its sad that you dont get items that are listed on the menu but its so nice of the waiter to offer us a free dinner on him.
