The restaurant is located in the most crowded shopping center/commercial business center of Fremont. It is situated right by starbucks coffee, and this place gets packed. The menu offers some americanized Indian cuisine with a very trendy restaurant interior look. I highly recommend their Chicken Wrap. You will love it here. the service is fast and friendly and the prices are good. This will get you what you want if you are craving Indian food.

If you are in a mood for contempory Indian food, you can't go wrong with Chaat Cafe.
Boti Wrap and Desi Chicken Wrap is my fav. I love Keema Naan as well.

There are i believe, 3 locations for Chaat cafe, but I always go to Fremont location. The food is good. They have limited seating inside, but they also have outside seating and the decor is reasonable.
The food is what makes all the diff. I love the naan wraps that they offer. Their mint chutney is great. I also tried the other things and they all are pretty good.

I have been going to to chaat cafe since I was in fremont 3 years ago

they are fast and the food just can't be beat. Each curry has a nice distinct flavor, not like a lot of places that use the same sauce and just add ingredients and change the name of the dish. And their is no buffet so the food always tastes fresh. Very hectic in the late evening, but still a good casual place for families.
The naan is the best ever, crispy on the outside and soft and chewy inside,
and the curries are full of flavor. Plenty of veg or non-veg options.

I would have to place Chaat Cafe near the top of Indian places close to campus. A clean, pleasant place with too much seating (every time I've gone at least) and friendly staff (of one or two). I am not an expert on Indian food, but I do know that it offers plenty of the typical choices to keep me happy, and if you go with someone in the know on Chaat, you'll likely find something to love.
The prices are a dollar or two above Naan N' Curry, but in return it offers an unobtrusive atmosphere and you don't smell like smoke afterward. They have forgotten to bring part of an order once or twice, but it is not a big problem and easily remedied. I highly recommend it for a pleasant dinner when craving Indian food.
(Whoops, I meant this for the Berkeley location. Need to figure out how to delete this entry...)

Chaat Cafe is a great place if you want to have some good indian fast food (Chaat). I can't really say it's like chaat back home, but it is certainly better than most other chaat places I have eaten at. They also have pretty good wraps, but I don't really call that indian food - it's more like mid eastern.
If you plan to go there for dinner, plan to get there well before 10 pm if you want to hang out and eat in peace. They close exactly at 10...and by that I mean they close the kitchen completely. So even if you were there eating and decide to order something more around 10, they won't serve you! We had a pretty bad experience last time. We had appetizers and were just sitting there chatting and finally when we decided to order the main course, the kitchen was closed!!! All they had was chicken wraps and only "to-go", no eat-in!!!! That I think is reason enough not to go there again. But I must say they do have some good chaat!
