Our family thought this food was very tasty. The curries were great: the panang curry had a wonderful flavor to it with hints of the sweet basil and the yellow curry was very fra...

Spicy food are always welcome in my plate, especially Thai food. Chicken was awesome and the place was that authentic feel to it. Had a great time. more

OK Food - Bad Service 8/17/2006

I have been to this place only once. The food was OK and the service is literally non-existent. They do not take into account the spice level that you indicate. Haven't gone back there again. If I crave for Thai I head to either Salathai or My Thai....both are great... more

Good thai restaurant 8/21/2005

Food was really, really good. The service was so bad it tainted the entire experience. The hostess actually asked us to leave if we were finished so that others could be seated. Talk about a tasty Thai restaurant with good quantity and great price, this restaurant is in my good books. I will definitely go there again & again. The Mango curry had REAL mango pieces (not canned) and came in a REAL mango's peeled skin. more

Excellent, authentic Thai cuisine at decent prices 8/14/2005

I've been to Banh Thai Restaurant in Fremont, CA several times, which is to say that the food is excellent. My favorite dishes are the pineapple fried rice-- which actually comes in a pineapple in which the contents are carved out to store the rice-- and the mango shrimp. Also noteworthy is the hot & spicy shrimp soup, which has just the right amount of spice and tomato flavor. Also, there are a couple TVs in the restaurant in case someone in your family wants to catch their favorite TV or sports program while enjoying delicious Thai cuisine. more

It's Thai time for Thai food 8/12/2005

This delicious Thai restaurant is a great find. They have good service and a relaxing atmosphere, but the best part of all is the food itself. When I'm out of town, I often have cravings for their wonderful tofu with spinach and peanut sauce, as well as the always popular Pad Thai. For dessert, the mango with sticky rice is delicious, so try and save room for it if you can. more

good food.. nice people 8/6/2005

The title says it all... The food is excellent.. the service is awesome. I really like the eggplant there (vegatarian .. dont remember the exact name) . The place is decently priced. Only thing it closes early at 9 pm, so have to be there in time. I really love the place. The desserts are also good. more

Great Taste! 8/5/2005

This is a great Thai restaurant in the area - the food is always good and fresh. Their Yom Ka Chicken and Pineapple Fried Rice are my favorites, as well as their Stuff Chicken Wings. It's hard to imagine that the owner is not Thai, because the food is authetic (as least to my taste). Parking can be a slight problem during busy hours though. Very reasonable prices too. more

it's thai time here! 6/23/2005

Very good Thai restaurant, incredibly popular with the locals. You need to book in advance for holiday weekends. Always full work functions and meetings and birthday get togethers. There's big crowds and long lines as with most Thai restaurants in this area. The food is great, and plentiful, I would thoroughly recommend trying it. The dishes range in tastes from sweet and sour to spicy. It's definitely asian exotic. The service is good for the small number of staff in comparison to patrons. Most people I know that go here think the crowds and wait is worth it for the quality. more

Thai Food Restaurant 6/15/2005

The decor inside Banh Thai doesn't scream Thai, but the food does. They have a large selection of dishes, including vegetarian dishes. The server during my first visit was very friendly in helping me make a selection. The food wasn't very spicy, that's good for some and not for others. I was disappointed when I inquired about coconut ice-cream, something often found in Thai restaurants. I was told they did have some, and when they brought it out it was actually pineapple-coconut ice-cream. The $$$ is per person inclusive of an appetizer and a dessert. more
