Since I discovered this place over 5 yrs ago, it has been my favorite. I have brought all my non-vegetarian friends and family there and they also loved the food and were surprised how much they didn't miss the meat. It's not the biggest place so it can sometimes get crowded & you'll have to wait awhile to be seated. The prices are moderate.

Au Lac has been a longtime favorite of ours. Good for veggies and non-veggies alike. The first time we went there we had a clay pot dish and it was pretty mediocre. What they really shine at are the fake meats, so I recommend those.
We like the vermicelli dishes, the spring rolls, the beef with watercress and chicken with vegetables. The servers are really nice. And I believe one of the chefs has taken a vow of silence, so he's this incredible smiley man who i think creates a lot of the raw dishes. I have tried the raw desserts, which are awesome. But the raw dishes are pretty expensive. I think it would be a fun treat for something special. Otherwise I stick to the cooked stuff that is cheaper.
They are closed on Mondays except for certain Buddhist holidays.
And if you are vegetarian and miss wonton soup...this is the place. Even if you are not vegetarian, this is my favorite wonton soup of all time.

This almost hidden restaurant has been around for quite a few years now building up its devoted clientele who keep visiting the restaurant for their creative dishes both cooked and raw, different menus for each kind of food. It's a family friendly restaurant with both small tables and big tables to seat big parties. The price is decent and if you're feeling adventurous the "raw" menu is amazing, the best raw food in Orange County.

I, myself is a Vegetarian and I love to eat at Au Lac Mix Vegetarian Restaurant because they have the most non-meat dishes. It is simply the best place to eat. They are very cheap comparing to go buy and make your own dishes. I really enjoy my meals here and would recommend it to everyone.

Au Lac Mix Vegetarian Restaurant is the best vegetarian restaurant for OC. I am a Buddhism, and my religion require me to not to eat meat at a certain time of the month. I find that Au Lac Mix Vegetarian Restaurant is the best place for me to go during those times. Their menu is long and plenty to choose from. Highly recommend for vegetarian.
