This place is good if you know what to order. Do not order ANY of that americanized Chinese food like orange chicken, etc. Go with Chinese people who know what food on the menu is authentic and good. If you do, I'm pretty sure you'll be satisfied. Also, in Fountain Valley, Mandarin restaurant is the closest thing you can get to authentic. Otherwise, go to Irvine, Rowland Heights, San Gabriel, Monterey Park, and some other LA areas. Hope this helps :D Oh try their Spicy Beef Noodle Soup (doesn't sound good, but it is...and it's not on the menu so ask for it)

This is my office's favorite place to go for an office lunch. Prices at lunchtime are very reasonable and the food is really good. Dining area is clean, big and open with lots of tables and never a wait. Service is fast and food is always fresh. Try some of the daily specials, we've never been disappointed! Highly recommended.

I was told that the owners at the Kingston Memory Company down the street employed relatives to open and manage this restaurant because they wanted visiting Chinese business people to have authentic Chinese food. The food here is that authentic that it is delightful! I have trouble with the speed of service here but you can wear a suit or a pair of shorts and still fit into the decor. We have had large parties here in their private rooms and they have delivered every time.

This restaurant has a wide variety of foods, and my Chinese friends tell me that it is pretty authentic. Every dish I have tried has been excellent, and the prices are pretty reasonable. The atmosphere is very pleasant, more of a family place than a fancy dining establishment, but nice enough you could take a date or business associate. Service is generally good.

Good Chinese Food and Great Service aren't usually put in the same sentence, but Mandarin Restaurant is the exception. Although often crowded, their staff is always friendly. They make you feel like family when you walk in. The decor is simple, but elegant, and makes a great place for both family and/or a date. If you want spicy, make sure you mean spicy because their authentic version of spicy is VERY spicy. They have really tasty onion pancakes that you must have too. Highly recommended!
