In a day and age where brick and mortar shops are harder to find - this one is a jem. While there is a limited amount of stock, they have the forethought to provide additional theatric resources other magic shops don't provide. These additional bread and butter items have allowed them to be in business for almost 20 years. While it is true there are better days to go for magic demonstration, as not all of customer service are magicians. As with everything - an educated consumer knows what they are looking for. If you have every purchased magic props, you will at one time or another be disappointed with deep buyers remorse. If you are new to magic this can be more costly if you only purchase from online venues. For those that know any magic history from the local DFW area - you will be interested to know that a few of the counters in the Magic area are from the old Jeffreys/Douglas Magicland from Dallas. Particularly the counter that is at the register. Mark Wilson among many other greats demo'ed magic on this counter. The shop is just west of downtown Ft Worth - off of Hwy 30 - exit N Forest Park blvd - N/E corner of the intersection. The bottom line is this - there are hot and cold days in any shop. If you every enjoyed going to any actual magic shop, then it is a good idea to support it. If you think it is an era past its prime, then online eccomerce is made for you - cold and impersonable. Your best bet for demonstrations, and deals is every 2nd Saturday Sale (9am) of each month. There are specials that are demonstrated by usually no less than 4 talented magicians. As a side note - I am in no way associated with this store, but have been a long time - very satisfied - customer. Pros: Great selection of Magic, Theatric Props, Costumes, Stage equip, and supplies Cons: Sometimes thinly staffed - however still helpful at those times.

If you are looking for magic, order online before visiting Magic etc. Went there today 7/3/2007 and had a terrible experience. I had spend several hundred dollars on several previous trips. Today the staff was absolutely not interetested in selling the magic. Have no idea why. Would not demo the tricks or even dicsuss pricing. Was all together wierd. I think thier thing is costumes now and are not interested in supporting magicians. I will be ordering from Williams magic or Barry's magic from now on. Pros: Hmmm? Cons: Inconvenient location and parking.

We have gone here for the past few years to get costumes for the whole family. They have a great selection of costumes and accessories for everyone- adults and children. We are always able to get costumes for the entire family in the same theme. The closer it is to Halloween, the more crowded the store is so you might want to go early. The staff is very helfpul. The prices are also pretty reasonable! They have it all!

Fort Worth Costume Magic etc is a great place to find those hard to find costumes. I was looking for a specific costume for a costume ball and was having a lot of trouble finding anything along the lines of a southern belle costume. I was impressed with the selection that Fort Worth Costumes had. I found my costume as well as accessories! The prices are a little high but it was a great deal to just be able to find my outfit. The store was clean and bright and the staff told me exactly where to look for everything when I asked. PROS: Lots of costumes! CONS: A little pricey
