Shopping at Central Market is a pleasure! Starting in the fruit section and ending in the premade meals it is comfortable and relaxing shopping the international foods. I never feel rushed or in a hurry when at Central Market. The selection is very good as I would expect. The prices are on par with other normal grocery stores.
I recommend everyone go to Central Market.

If you are in the market for DIRT CHEAP then stop by Town Talk Foods. You will find sleeves of hotel paper cups, restaurant napkins, popcorn boxes, nacho boxes etc. for dirt cheap. If you don't mind the logos these are great items for picnics and small kids. Town Talk also sells lots of close-out foods. These I recommend you start with just a few - I have ended up with yucky foods but I have also made out like a bandit with others - just use your common sense! You'll also find amazing deals on STUFF. For example, soaps, travel size cleaners, swimming underpants, paper towels, waterless hand cleaners, dog food, snacks, shampoos, paper products etc. You never know what you'll find so check back often.

Maybe its because of my TCU days, but Kings Liquor has always been my liquor store of choice. The Berry location was my first love, but I now stop by the Camp Bowie and Grandbury Road/I-20 locations as well. The prices are usually better than other local stores, and I just feel better knowing that I am supporting a local company. Another thing that sets Kings apart from its competitors is its rather large and diverse wine selection. They are very knowledgeable and can offer great suggestions to go with your meals. The bottom line, Kings liquor should be your liquor store of choice in Fort Worth, Texas.

I find myself at Pioneer Grocery on a daily basis! Whether it be a newspaper, firewood, donuts or a few barbecue sandwiches....they always have them on hand!
I like doing business with these folks, not only because their prices(even gas) are below that of their local competitors....but the owner and his employees are easy to talk to, and eager to help.
All of us locals (Lake Country area)shop here for our last minute needs, and it is not unusual to actually meet new neighbors there!

If you can go somewhere else, do. This store has a very limited selection and a funny smell, among other things. It's also always hot in there, and the man who runs (owns?) it is never very nice. What's more, in this age of debit cards, he won't run a card transaction for less than $11. I think that's ridiculous.

A lot of people have told me to go to Chicotsky's for wine and liquor. But in my experience, it is expensive and the selection is rather limited. The store is rather small, and the staff is not all that helpful. I can usually find a better deal and better selection on liquor elsewhere. For wine, Central Market is better than any liquor store.
