I have eaten at the Parthenon probably 15 times since 2000. I've had just about everything on the menu, and I truly can't pick a favorite a dish, other than whatever I had last. Sea bass, lamb, filet mignon, shrimp, lobster tail, portobello mushrooms, etc... Its all cooked and seasoned to perfection. Peter and Gus, the brothers who own the Parthenon, always come out to the table to make sure that I am enjoying their creation. It also tells a lot about a restaurant, that Sam, their topknotch waiter, has been there for as long I have been going there.
In response to the review saying the restaurant is not kid friendly, I would have to disagree. I have a four year old daughter who has been at least 3 times, starting at about 1 years old, and we have always been treated great. I do however make my children behave so as not to ruin everyone's dining experience.

Italian Inn Ridglea has been there since '67 and the menu has expounded quite a bit, so those who were griping about the menu should look at the menu on the wall which has their original menu. They encourage you to sign the walls and it is neat to see and read about all the engagements, etc. It is reaking of memories and experiences. The food is always incredible.

I've been here many many times. When you get here, it is like walking into Germany. The food is authentic German and the live entertainment is superb. Even the owner, Bern, will get up and sing and dance for his diners. Very enjoyable.

More often than not, I'll choose classic over trendy. When it comes to restaurants, Sardine's is a class act that I hope will be around long after the trends are long gone. Sardine's consistently offers good Italian food in a casual, yet romantic setting with good music and good service. The dining area past the bar is dark and romantic and they play live jazz on weekends. Yes, the place is a bit cramped with the tables a bit too close together, but I found that to be rather cozy. Unlike Houston, where I currently live, Fort Worth residents are not nearly as uptight and self-entitled, so getting a little close to your fellow diner next to you isn't the worst thing in the world. The bread was good, buttery and crispy and garlicky and right out of the oven. I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the lasagna. Both excellent! The tomato sauce in the risotto was rich and tangy and had a little bit of heat for a pleasant warmth that wasn't overwhelming at all. My husband's lasagna was very good as well, with a hint of something that we couldn't quite place. The service was extremely courteous, our water glasses stayed full and we were never left waiting for wine or bread. Afterward, we left feeling almost euphoric. Could've been the wine, but it also could have been the excellent service, food, and atmosphere. I highly recommend this place, especially if you need a cozy and romantic place for a date!
Pros: Food, service, music, romantic
Cons: A little cramped

This is the most fun place I've been to in awhile, and the fun is in the atmosphere. It's a gas! (no, really, it is - a gas station!) The food is outstanding too, and HUGE portions for not too much $$.
PROS: LOTS of food and atmosphere!
