It's refreshing to have a positive salon experience from the moment you walk in. I've tried several stylists, they were knowledgeable, creative & listened well. The shampoo ladies were awesome. The salon is going through a massive remodel - it's beautiful. They don't have the clothing anymore but they do continue to offer great deals & variety of accessories/purses & all sorts of hair products. The location is prime & it was nice to be offered a glass of wine after a very hectic day ...loved my hair. Pros: Service, quality, atmosphere Cons: You have to book in advance

Finding a good hair stylist is the hardest thing in the world! As soon as I'd find someone I liked they'd leave the salon, and I'd never be able to find them again. Not this time. I've actually been going to the same lady for about 2 or 3 years now, and I love her! Her name is Jennifer Dearden, and she is in the salon on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth called Venus and Mars. She knows exactly how my hair will look good. I can go in there with no clue as to how I want my hair done, and she will give me the perfect cut. There have also been times that I've explained to her what I want, and she understands it perfectly. With other hair dressers, I've tried explaining, and they totally don't get it. Jennifer gets it every time. She's also great at highlights. The last time she highlighted my hair, she knew that I didn't want to have to get it done often, so she did it in such a way that they grew out naturally with no giant, dark roots showing. It was amazing. Also, two months after she did it, it looked like I had just gotten them done. She is also really good at reading people and knowing what style or type of person they are and cutting their hair accordingly. She can do anything from really conservative to totally cool and funky. Her rates aren't bad, either, considering how good she is. For a cut and style it's $50 for women. I don't remember how much the highlights were or how much is it for men. Jennifer is also great and fun to talk to while you're getting your hair done. She's really nice and asks a lot of questions. She's very easy to talk to. I highly recommend her!

The facility is very clean, and while dominated by female clients, I was treated like a King. Lynn asked me about my hair, and what I wanted after that I turned her loose and she is uterly fantastic! I highly recommend this phenom, as she has great hands and great people skills. The young gal she finished prior to me looked awesome! Both men and women will enjoy the experience! Call Lynn. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by a friendly young woman to the time you leave looking great, you are treated with great respect and wonderful smiles. As a man, I don't feel out of place in an atmosphere of female clients. And my stylist, Dana Vaughn, doesn't pillage my wallet when she's done. I recommend to anyone they take the time to visit Venus & Mars. Pros: Great Attitudes, Timely, Respectful Cons: Ok Parking, Very Busy
