Maybe it's because my husband has gone here since he was a kid, maybe its because every single one of the employees are friendly and eager to assist you, or perhaps, its the family friendly atmosphere that makes Party Port such a great little stop in Fort Gratiot Michigan. Whatever the reason, Party Port offers just about everything you could want out of a party store, and then more. They currently offer groceries, pop, liquor, bathroom necessities, cigarettes and cigars, lotto, dairy products, candy, chips, etc. The prices are slightly higher than you would find at a Walmart or Kroger, but I find that saving the time of NOT going to Walmart or Krogers is worth it!

For those of you who loved the old Cheaps- you are gonna really love this one! The new Cheap Charlies is located right across the street from Birchwood, and is twice as good as it was before! The food comes promptly, is served hot, and the waitresses are attentive. I can't wait to go again!

This place is so good, I sometimes go there when I intended to go to Chan's Buffet next door! Every time I go, they have some new yummy sub. And oh, my goodness, if you've never had their Raspberry Lemonaide...thats all I should have to say. ^^
PROS: NIce music and atmosphere for dine-in.
CONS: I can't eat there every day.

Great food at a great price. Cheap Charlie's is a nice bar/restaurant. They have great burgers and great pizza. They were closed for a while, I'm glad they reopened! Great place to take your friends.

My best friend and I would take long rides out here just to go to the Old Country Buffet. It's an all you can eat family restaurant with your choice of several meats ...including roast beef and ham, chicken and lots of side dishes plus dessert! Only things is that you can't eat much before you go or for a few days afterwards!

Pizzas N Cream is now located just across the street from its former location but still at the light in Lakeport. The menu has expanded to include upscale pizza selections and oven baked subs. It also offers a wide variety of hand dipped ice cream and over 24 flavors of soft serve ice cream. We ate outside under an umbrella on their beautiful deck. Definitely give it a try!

My husband and I shop here often when we don't want to drive all the way into town to one of the bigger grocery stores. For being a smaller store, the prices are very reasonable and comparable to the bigger chains. They have a nice selection and always seem to have what I need in stock. The cashiers are friendly and helpful and the store is kept pretty clean.

My biggest beef with this Denny's is that on 3 separate occasions, there was no cashier to receive our payment. We had to stand up there for near a half hour to pay our bill.
