PGA professional: Jim Eyberg
Course description: While this course may appear to be fairly easy, more than 80 bunkers, fairway mounding, and large, undulating greens make this a challenging layout.
Signature hole: No. 16 -- 609 yards, par 5. Accuracy is more important than length. A large lake runs along the left side with OB on the right. The narrow, deep elevated green is protected by sand on the right and water on the left.
Best birdie chance: No. 2 -- 566 yards, par 5. A downhill hole, reachable in two. The elevated, large green, guarded by bunkers left and right, accepts long second shots well.
Play policy: No restrictions on public play. In the process of converting to a private club. When completed, public play will be restricted. Carts are not required, and do not follow the 90-degree cart rule when used. Walking is allowed. Collared shirts and spikeless shoes required; shorts must have at least a 9-inch inseam.
Reservation policy: Two days in advance (secured with a credit card for Friday to Sunday times); members receive priority and may make tee times as much in advance as they wish.
Directions: An hour north of Denver. Exit Interstate 25 at exit 262 and go east about one mile. The course is on your left.
Fees (18 holes/9 holes): Monday to Friday ($55/$30); Saturday and Sunday ($65/$35). Guests, all days ($35/$25). Power cart rental ($22/$14); pull cart ($4/$3).
Clubhouse: (970) 226-8555 -- John Shelton
