I love Aveda, been going there for years. I recently moved to a new city and found a local Aveda salon, Trios. It was the worst experience of my life! The stylist did not listen to a word I said, adding layer when I requested the opposite. There is now a 5 space between the top and bottom layers of my hair. It looks like a mullet. The layers are not even; chunks of my hair are gone. I went in for a re-do, but it was even worse than the first time. I was made to wait over 20min with no apology or explanation. The girl tried to add more layer. I explained my dislike, to which she did nothing. She did blame me for not styling my hair enough, though. No one seemed to care about my satisfaction, or dissatisfaction. This is an embarrassment to Aveda. DO NOT GO HERE!!

Trios Salon and Spa was my preferred salon for almost two years. My stylist Kara was very knowledgeable and skilled, and my biggest problem was that she was so popular it was often difficult to schedule appointments that fit my schedule. However, I will NEVER return to Trios after what happened today when I arrived for my haircut. I'm always on-time but today I got caught behind a traffic accident so I called ahead to let Kara know that I would be running late. They told me if I was more than 10 minutes late that they might reschedule me. I arrived 13 minutes late (only 3 minutes after their extension!) and the stylist refused to cut my hair. I even told her that I didn't need the neck and head massage or for her to wash my hair because I had just showered. She had 32 minutes remaining from the original appointment to do a basic men's haircut and she TURNED ME AWAY! Apparently customer LOYALTY, or being a good TIPPER, or customer REFERRALS aren't important to Trios Salon and Spa. In fact, Kara had informed me previously that she's made some customers wait over 30 minutes... but apparently my 13 minutes was too much for her. Nice double standard!!! I was willing to meet my stylist half-way but her inflexibility and lack of understanding are appalling and unprofessional. So if you choose to patronize Trios Salon and Spa, you have been warned!

I use this salon for haircuts. Their stylists do a fantastic job (which includes a quick shoulder and head massage before shampoo and cut). The salon uses Aveda products; btw, this is a great place to just purchase Aveda products. Their prices for style and cut are reasonable (and they request no tipping).
