I liked the food here. It seemed to be pretty authentic and it tasted very good. The service was helpful and very quick as well. I was definitely pleased with the quality of the food.

I have driven by this place a couple of times and curiosity finally won me over.
The service - we were seated promptly and our waitress was pleasant and helpful. The people are friendly and willing to assist you questions.
The food - the sushi is fresh and delightful. The food portions for their entrees are big enough to be shared between two people or take home for later. I had the seafood Yaki Soba and I couldn't finish it all. There is even a large fish tank with a variety of shellfishes and eels in the middle of the restaurant.
The atmosphere - calm and relaxing (since we came before the dinner rush). The tatami rooms are very nice and great for large parties.

Exploring for sushi without driving to Seattle led us to Akasaka in Federal Way. The only benefit that we found was that it was close to where we live. About a mile. That's it. Mind you, we were looking for sushi, not any other type of Japanese food.
The was not a great variety of sushi. The rice on the soggy side, the seaweed was fair, and it didn't seem to be too terribly fresh. The atmosphere was nice, even had a side that would allow you to eat Japanese style. But this was our second try at sushi there and all we can say is, in a pinch it might do. Grocery stores now sell sushi so maybe that would be better. Hmmmm.

I am very confident taking my family, including grandchildred, to Applebee's family restaurant. They have excellent food, service and reasonable prices. Always a clean environment and cheerful, friendly wait persons. Once a week treat for my husband and me!
Pros: affordable, good food, friendly people

A family owned busines that has kept the tradition of great mexican food alive. If your big on seafood then you need to try their seafood chimichanga out of this world. One thing about this restaurant is that the staff is very very friendly, the prices are fantastic and it's nice to always go into a restaurant that is clean.

Definitely a fantastic restaurant. The food is top-notch, the service warm and friendly. They're great with kids - they encouraged us to stop by McDonald's to bring food for the smaller ones. This is definitely a place to go with friends and family to order a bunch of entrees to split up. Favorites are panang curry, bathing rama, and one entree that's chicken thighs soaked in sauce, served wrapped in leaves. It's on the favorites section of the menu.

There is not a lot open after 9-10 pm in Federal Way, but Billy McHale's has a bar side that has drink and food specials after 9 p.m. The food is pretty standard (except the nachos, which are fantastic) and the ambience leaves a little to be desired unless you are really nostalgic for your high school days during the 80's (I'm not) or you really like generic cigarettes (I don't), but if you want something to eat/drink at a late hour, this is the place to go.
