I have gone to this place for almost 10 years. This place is amazing. Newly remodled and now serving sushi too. It's a great family place or a romantic hot spot. I've done romantic dates, friends get togethers and family nights. My son (now 5) loves the place. We go often enough that he knows what's coming next in the show. Even if it looks horribly busy (which is does get) the wait time is generally not more than 30 minutes... sometimes faster if it's only a couple. And now that it's remodeled probably not as bad. The wait staff is nice, the chef's are enjoyable and all around you enjoy your experience. You never leave hungry and in my opinion the price is reasonable. Because my son can share I spend just as much there as I would if we went to a "casual" restaraunt because we would have to buy him his own plate. Use the "japanese a2" as they call it... it's great on all the meats, and I love it on my rice... I also like the dim lighting - makes the place more romantic than the bright lights of Sakura's. Okay, I exaggerate. Humor people.... So my boyfriend brought me here for lunch today, and my goodness...what a disappointment. The pyrotechnics were fun, but the meal service itself left a lot to be desired. To begin, we were here for lunch, so ordering from the lunch menu, our meals were to be $9.50 each for veggie yakisoba and chicken yakisoba. The chef takes his position at the grill and produces an impressive fireball bright enough to blind you momentarily (I think I might have lost a few eyebrow hairs in the process). A bowl of rice and soup (not miso) was served. The rice, oddly enough, tasted as though butter had been added to it- hardly an authentic Asian flavor. The chef then began cooking the vegetables on the cooktop and serving those on our plate. Odd that the meat and noodles were almost another 10 minutes in the making until they were ready to be served. Not how I'm used to eating yakisoba... usually everything is prepared and mixed together for a complete dish. I didn't care for that. The bill was another story still. At $32.00, it was a far cry from what we were told on the lunch menu, even with soft drinks. Upon inquiring with our cashier at checkout, we were told that because we ordered a vegetarian yakisoba (not available on the lunch menu), we were being charged the full dinner price of $13.00 Even so, the bill just didn't add up. A bit miffed by this information, and rather than moan about the discrepancy, we left. Might I add that the vegetable yakisoba didn't even have noodles? Thankfully, my portion was large enough I wound up having a fair amount to offer my boyfriend, but this wasn't what we were expecting. Sorry. Can't recommend it, nor will we be returning. Pros: Food tastes good. Would be even better if served all at once! Cons: Menu prices not as advertised. Butter in the steamed rice? You guys are killing me.

BY THE WAY SHE IS NOT A BABY, SHE IS 21. WE GO FOR ALL BIRTHDAYS AND HOLIDAYS, IT JUST ISN'T A SPECIAL IF WE ARE NOT THERE FOR DINNER. WE MOVED AND TRIED ANOTHER PLACE, THE FOOD WAS O.K. BUT TO STATE IT SIMPLY WE WENT TO FEDERAL WAY THE NEXT NIGHT AND DID IT RIGHT. GOOD SERVICE,EVERYONE IS VERY NICE, ITS CLEAN.
