We went here on Sunday to get ready for a backpacking trip we are taking. The staff that I talked to were very helpful and knowledgeable about what I was looking for. She was able to answer all my questions and gave advice from personal experience. It seems that everything there is pretty expensive but usually that is because it is good stuff. I will be going back.

This REI has an excellent selection and is much larger than it appears. It has everything for outdoor adventures (camping, hiking, biking kayaking, skiing, running, and more), and a large range of sizes, including childrens sizes.
While the staff at this REI is very friendly, they don't seem to be very knowledgable; something I've come to expect at an REI store. They don't know a lot about the technical gear they are selling. So if you're going to find something new, research it first.
Oh, and be careful coming and going. The parking lot is an accident just waiting to happen.
PROS: Excellent Selection of great outdoor gear and clothing
CONS: Low Product knowledge, trecherous parking lot

This store is too much fun! The only problem is convincing myself I really don't need one of everything. Everything is guarenteed and the staff is super friendly.

The store is difficult to spot as womeone has mentioned earlier, I find it easier to remember that it is across ToysRus. The first time I was in the store to pick up stuff I ordered online, Locating the customer service desk was difficult- It is almost at the back of the store on the right ,with poor directions . However , the guys at the desk are friendly and helpful. The parking is treacherous and difficult because it is steep and small. The ambience and collection in the store is very inspiring though.I found the lighting a little dim though. Lots of camping and fishing and outdoor stuff, even for children. Very wide selection of biking and outdoor equipment.

REI is a chain store that sells anything you can possibly want or need for a variety of outdoor activities, such as camping, fishing, canoeing, climbing, and so on. They are a co-op type of store, so you can join them for a lifetime membership fee and get profit share at the end of the year. This particular location is not really easy to find for first-time visitors. The front of the store is not easily visible from the highway, so you really need to know where you are going. The parking lot has a steep downhill and it makes me nervous to drive there. It is particularly difficult to get out (uphill) if you have a manual car. You never have to worry about not finding a parking spot, though. The store is huge, and it's usually busy. The Customer Service Desk is all the way at the far inside corner of the store. Therefore, it is not very conveniently located, should you need to return any product. Regardless, I still enjoy shopping at this store because of the wide variety of items they carry and the frequent sales and clearance items.
PROS: Wide variety of outdoor activity goods, frequent sales.
CONS: Parking lot is hard to get out, Customer Service Desk is deep inside.

This REI store, located between Skyline and Bailey's Crossroads, just off Route 7 in Fallschurch, has a great selection of outdoor and sporting gear. The store is huge and I have been amazed to find the great things I have...dehydrated food, burners for back packing, roasting sticks...to name a few. The staff is helpful and the store provides for a pleasant shopping experience and atmosphere.
