I had to respond to the two reviews I read on this site. I cannot believe anyone would ever think that Joey B's is a bad restaurant. Everytime I have eaten here it's been a fabulous experience. The staff is friendly and well-trained, the food is fantastic, and the new location is so nice, very comfortable and inviting. Do NOT take the advice of these dopes who wrote the other reviews, Joey B's puts out exceptional food at a very reasonable price.

Went to Joey B's for a special birthday dinner. We ordered $8 drinks and struggled with the limited menu. My sister and I are both vegetarians. When we asked the waitress if there was anything they could do for a vegetarian, she flat out said no. My sister opted for a salad and cheese plate, but was quickly informed that there was a $14 per plate minimum and they would charge us $14 for the salad. The $8 cocktail did not count towards the entree. My sister was humiliated and it put a damper on our birthday celebration. The food we did have was not good and heavily laden with black pepper. Moreover, the waitress was extremely rude, had a negative attitude and no etiquette skills. This restaurant is trying to be classy, but the decor was cheap, staff rude, food bad, and I found nothing classy about it.
Pros: canal view, cheap decor, limited menu
Cons: rude staff, bad food, expensive

Service was attentive but sloppy (spilled wine during every glass refill). French Onion soup VERY salty; too much parmesan. Bread crust burned. Broiled atlantic salmon was overcooked, tough, and had very little flavor save some melted butter on the side. Wild rice had no seasoning and a strange aftertaste. Overall, this was the worst "nice" meal my wife and I have had anywhere in Rochester. The restaurant is billed as a French place, but because of the lackluster presentation and poor food quality, it seems like maybe the owner should spend a little more time in France. Dessert (frozen kiwi souffle) was quite good.
Pros: Desserts, Wine Prices
Cons: Wine Selection, Value
