When I go to Jose Tejas Mexican Restaurant it feels like I'm actually just south of the boarder in Tijuana. The ambiance is so authentic looking even down to the fake rust (I saw them build the place so I know it's fake). The 360 days per year Christmas lights strewn all over the place and neon advertisements for Cervesas. TexMex music playing in the background. . . . The place looks like a downsized version of "Chevys" but it's got a more fun "feel". But what about the food? Well they've got some real eclectic fare on their menu; from Cajun New Orleans red fish to Texas Steak and some unusual Mexican dishes - - -My favorite is the seafood enchiladas (I forgot the actual name). NOTE: This is "not" a fancy place but rather a cool casual place. Make sure you wear clothing that you can throw in the washing machine when you get home because everything smells like fajitas (and it lingers!). But the best part are the prices. So reasonable that you'd think they made a mistake on your bill. This isn't the best Mexican restaurant in the area but it is the most enjoyable.
