We have been going to this restaurant for almost 5 years, and never once that I an average experience there. They truly have the best sushi, their serving is not only tasty but also generous. Their maki, like spider, snow mountain, dragon are among the favorite list. They have the most tender Mongolian beef and the most delicious crispy duck. I find their pineapple curry to be unique you can have it spicy or medium. If you go there during holiday time, they'll give you a gift certificate for the coming year along with a box of tea. And if you are there to celebrate your birthday, they not only give you a free desert but also a birthday gift. That how generous they are. I highly recommend this restaurant, even if you have to spend sometime coming from Chicago.

My husband and I along with other couple love this restaurant. They have a very good food. We do not find a lot of restaurant that has a good food in most of their menu, usually we pick and choose. This place offer you Japanese, Chinese, and Thai food. Our favorite goes to Spider, Volcano, Snow Mountain, Fried Soft Shell Crab for the Japanese. Try pineapple curry for the Thai food. For Chinese Shrimp toast as appetizer, Crispy Roast Duck, Mongolian Beef and Chi Tung Fried Noodle. Highly recommended !

Thru expansion and all they have managed to keep the quality that they have always been known for. Let me start with lunch...they have a buffet that runs about $6.00, not a super large assortment but very high quality and will keep you coming back over and over. Dinner, my favorite is the Mongolian Beef and their super duper soup bowl...which is a massive bowl of soup with noodles and wantons, for me enough of a meal (not to mention if you have left overs they will bag the noodles & wantons separate from the soup and give you a whole quart of broth to go home with) Since remodeling they have a very nice sushi bar (haven't tried but heard it is very good), and treat you very upscale for a local restaurant...right down to bringing you a warm cloth to "wash" with before you eat. Included with every meal are a very nice assortment of appetizers also. So worth the rather long wait. The only downside is I'm not crazy about them for carryouts...they seem so skimp on them, but that doesn't stop me ever from going there for dinner.

Chi Tung always gives you a treat when you arrive. The restaurant expanded over the years to include a set of spacious rooms which are tastefully decorated. The food, however, is the reason you come to Chi Tung. My favorites are the Pad Thai, the Sesame Chicken, various beef dishes, and some of the old stand-bys like Sweet and Sour. The dishes are always creatively prepared and they give you generous portions. Enjoy . . . .

Chi Tung started as a small store front restaurant on 95th Street, and my how it's grown! The food is top-rate, their staff is very friendly and accomodating, and the ambiance is great! Chi Tung has a huge menu, and everything is delicious (though I must admit, I've never tried their sushi, I've heard from others it is fantastic). I especially recommend their Thai menu... particularly their spring rolls and pad thai. I also recommend their hot and sour soup, which is the perfect blend of "hot" and "sour!"
The only "drawback" that I can see is that, since this restaurant has been reviewed by a local news food critic, EVERYONE has discovered this gem, making it impossible to walk in without a wait. Plan ahead and make reservations!
