There is something so special about milk and ice cream they have in this place that my daughter only likes milk from oberweis. The vanilla ice cream is to die for as they are just so tasty. I like bringing my daughter here because not only she will drink the milk, she also get to go home with a baloon or two. The turtle pie, a vanilla ice cream put on top of a pie dough served with chocolate and pecan are my favorite to bring to a friend house as a gift, it is pre-sliced so we don't have to make a mess cutting it, everyone seems to love it.

This is a great old fashioned icecream shop that has icecream with 12% butter fat. They offer an old fashioned soda shop, that includes turtle candy sundae that are to die for. They also have soft serve ice cream that melts in your mouth. Oberweis is unique in the fact that they also carry dairy products that are made by small farmers. You can find their milk in grocery stores all over the Chicagoland area. They are a little pricey, but it is oh so good. Sign up for the birthday club and you will get a free child's cone with the purchase of any ice cream product.
