I'm a New Mexico Native and I've eaten lots of Mexican food at a lot of Mexican restaurants, and Frida's is, hands down, my favorite place to eat Mexican. My wife (also from New Mexico) feels the same way and we go there often. The atmosphere is very nice, paying homage to Frida Kahlo, a surrealist Mexican painter. They play nice music, and it is not uncommon to find live musicians there. The plates are very large, serving as a canvas for the carefully prepared entrées and side dishes. The food is gourmet and you should be prepared to eat something very different than the ho-hum stuff you would find at Azteca. You will find bananas, squash, and eggplant in their delicious dishes with very sophisticated sauces.
My only complaints about this restaurant is the decidedly unromantic location in a supermarket parking lot, and their desserts, which tend to be pre-prepared. I go for the dinner though, and the fantastic cuisine of this place far outweighs any negatives. I recommend Frida’s to all of my friends. Go try it! YOU WILL LOVE IT!!

I love Frida's. You look at it from the outside, in it's strip mall location, and you have minimal if any expectations. Get inside however and all that changes. The food here is really delicious and really creative. You'll find some of the mexican standards, but there is so much more. The restaurant itself is pretty and the staff is friendly and quick. Good eats!

The name might tip you off, of course. Frida's is named after the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. The food is definitely Mexican, but also definitely creative & quite good - especially good given the location: an Albertson's strip mall in Mill Creek. Not only was the food quite good, but the price was reasonable, as well. Doesn't look like too many people have discovered this place yet, but you should try it. Joe Bob says "check it out!".

I ate here with my girlfriend on one of our dates, the food was inexpensive and the service was good. The night we were there they had live music playing and that was kinda cool, maybe it distracted me from my food. The food is good, and the atmosphere is casual...think like Azteca or smilar. I think that atmosphere is almost more important than food, it's kind of look food presentation..you really do eat with your eyes and ears.

Great place to take a date. The food is relatively inexpensive, the waiters are fabulous, and the live music is awesome! The food tastes pretty delicious and the tables are very private and romantic. Take your new beau or rekindle the love of your old. It's in a pretty prime location for an evening on the town. It is not fancy but is somewhere where the average joe would feel comfortable.

Frida's is set up so that each table feels very private. The wait staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is very romantic. The night we were there, a couple of young harp students provided live music. The food is unique and beautifully presented. My fish tasted like it was previously frozen, which is probably was. Overall, a unique place to take a date.
