We hired the Sweet Life to make and decorate our wedding cake and were VERY happy with the results. We first tried a piece of their cake at a wedding expo and loved it. Our cake was delicious (our guests are still raving about it) and it looked exactly like the picture. We still go here every now and then to get a slice!

Located in a fairly non-descript strip mall along West 11th Avenue, you might not notice The Lava Lounge. Step inside and you'll find really great cocktails, and a fun atmosphere.
Check out the drink menu and you'll find some very special concoctions. Their secret ingredient is fantastic fruits that are marinated in quality booze...personal favorite is any kamakazi, but they also mix dynamite margaritas.
Ring of Fire Restaurant stands on it's own as a special spot in Eugene. The food is sort of hybrid-Thai (maybe "pan-Asian"?) Love the sweet potato tempura. The hot and sour soup pot was more than enough for two of us to share. Good Pad Thai, yummy peanut sauce. Most items are zesty to really hot & spicy! A friend who does "not do spice" absolutely loves their BBQ chicken.
Meals (and drinks) can be a bit on the pricey side. The inside of the place is so much nicer than you'd think from the outside.

I've worked on this side of town for 15 years but only "discovered" this hidden gem over the last few. My dad was a total BBQ fanatic, and I often think he's sitting on my shoulder when I bite into a meltingly delish mouthful of pulled pork, smothered in the restaurant's Bullwacker sauce!
Hole in the Wall is located on Eugene's fast growing West 11th Avenue. Hidden behind their own catering trucks and a billboard, parking is sometimes a struggle. Inside the knotty pine/ branding iron/Western motif is perfect. Nostalgic signs and dozens of letters from satisfied customers line the walls. Lunch and dinner hours can be busy, and lines sometimes stretch to the door. There is limited outdoor dining, but lots of seating inside.
Beef brisket, hot links, smoked turkey breast or ham or chicken, and Saint Louis-style ribs are all on the menu as sandwiches, dinners and build-it-your-way meals. Sides include sweet corn muffins, coleslaw, potato salad, green salad, BBQ beans, french fries and Texas potatoes. Looking for chili? It's there! And there are always specials during the week -- smoked meatloaf, burgers and other meaty treats. If they have 'em, don't miss out on the zesty green beans (usually Tuesdays) and the crisp sweet potato fries (usually Thursdays.)
Hole in the Wall offers catering services and to-go orders. Servings are filling, but be sure to get plenty of the sauce (because you may want more...) Service is super friendly, and once you start going they always remember what you like to order!
They serve wine and beer, as well as bottomless iced tea and soft drinks -- including strawberry lemonade.
Never had room for the cobbler, but peaches or blackberries and vanilla ice cream sounds delicious -- and I have no doubt they'd be exactly as tasty as they sound! Brownie sundae anyone? Or apple crisp?
Depending on what you order, a meal will put you back $10 - $20 without the tip. Other than the parking, though, you'll have nothing to complain about.

Our kids faces light up whenever we go here for ice cream. Baskin Robbins it is not! Fresh, local ingredients made in smaller batches make the difference. A great selection of flavors. My absolute favorite is the Mandarin Chocolate.

Ocean Sky is a fabulous Chinese restaurant. Prices are good for the quantity of food given for each menu item. This place has large round tables big enough to serve parties of ten. Even though we were a crowd, the waitress calmly handled all of our orders. This place is popular on the weekends.

Sy knows PIzza, that's for sure. Nothing beats the authentic smell and taste of a true New York slice. The pizza chains cannot even come close to the pizza baked at Sy's. Parking isn't great, but it's worth the drive around the block to pick up a piping hot pizza!
