This is the best place to take your kids for a fun family weekend. We had so much fun my kids talk about it all the time. They are an indoor water park and is open all year long. They have everything for all ages too. Water slides, pools, big buckets of water. They have lifeguards all over so you don't have to worry. They have 4 connected hotels and restaurants too so you don't have to go outside while you are there. My kids beg me all the time to go back which I am sure we will in the near future. It can be a little pricey so check when they run specials like we did so it was an affordable weekend.

Anyone who fishes has to experience this store. It has anything and everything you can imagine and isn't limited to simply tackle and bait. With poles of every type, even gifts to please the fisherman in your life and a sales staff that seems very well versed in the sport, you can't find a bigger and better display of fishing goods in town!
While they have some pricey items, other things are very reasonable. The key to this store is to shop around and price things.
What I love most is that for gift giving it is wonderful. They have all kinds of neat items that you won't find in the average stores. Gift Certificates are also available.
Excellent store for any fisherman!

We recently stayed at this hotel and I found it to be less than average. I was not overly pleased with the rooms - old and not in good shape. I did not find it a good value for what we paid. The staff was not overly helpful or friendly. We were there for a good night's rest and our floor was extremely noisy. When we complained to the front desk, they were not willing to help control the noise and there was no apology the next day. There are many hotels in this same vicinity. The next time I will shop around before staying at this hotel again.
Cons: quality of room, service by staff

Thats the only bonus for this hotel. It was much cheaper than anywhere else we could find, so we stayed...upon check in, we were sent to a dirty disgusting room. They switched our room, which was fine, but we had to have our key replaced twice during our short stay since they switched the lock code. Continential breakfast consists of only muffins and danishes, and no free local calls!

This Inn doesn't need to advertise, as it is all done by word of mouth. It is next to impossible to get a room at this family owned motel any weekend night in any season except maybe Winter. It is !!! rated, has a heated outdoor swimming pool and gives free continental breakfast to it's guests. A great place to stay if you are in our area to fish or hunt.

Lake Erie Lodge in Erie, Pennsylvania is a great place to stay. With a pristine pool, very clean rooms, and a rustic feel, you'll fall in love with this great place to stay. The rooms all have a rustic "cabin-y" sort of feel that you will like. The motel is very close to Lake Erie and is a fun place to stay at. The pool which is always well chlorinated, clean, and heated is great for a somewhat colder summer day or night. You will get to know the owners which are very friendly and will definitely enjoy your visit if you stay here.

My husband and I used Stacey Cosme from North Coast Travel to plan our trip to Spain. She was recommended in Conde Nast Traveller Magazine, which is how we found her. She is an expert in travel to Spain and Portugal. She stayed within our budget and put us in accomodations that suited our tastes. She even has her own website

This Microtel manager was not very helpful at all. We asked for a room with double beds and were told they only had two twin or queen. Which we went to look at the room and it was very small. We did not stay but, did call again to see if he was just telling us that because we were two women. It's seems that when he said that is all he had that is exactly what he meant that all the rooms are either two twin or queen and very small rooms. I would not recommend this hotel when you have many close by to pick from for the same price have but, larger rooms and what you want. Now we know why they didn't have many cars in the parking lot.

If you roll into Erie late at night and:
a)there are no other rooms available in town
b)you have no money
c)you're the adventurous type
then the Thunderbird Motel is the place for you. One of the lower priced hotels in the Erie area, at the Thunderbird, you get what you pay for. Clean, basic, unique rooms. No on site restaurant, but the TB is located on West 12th Street where you have access to many different food stops and grocery stores with just a short drive, bus ride, or a slightly longer walk. The cantankerous lady that runs the place, she's just the icing on the cake. If you are a writer, this would be good place to hole up while writing your novel, lol!!

As you might expect from a small city airport, the set up is quite unique at Erie airport. Some may say dated. A few years ago, I left from Erie Airport and they only open security once a plane is boarding. It does not create a problem because they only have a few flights leaving at a time. There is ample parking, and at reasonable rates. The baggage claim takes a while, but they are fairly good at running everything else quickly.
