First the Hostess was not very nice. Then the waitress had no personality. The menu had not changed in ages. Not many items to chose from. Then it was 41 degrees out and they had the air condition on which made our food really cold. Not a good experience. We have been there before and it seems it gets worse each time.

Pufferbelly's is one of Erie's best. The food is really great and it's not all that expensive. It's entertaining to just look around while you eat because their decorations are old artifacts from when the place used to be a firehouse. I've been there for lunch and dinner, but my absolute favorite is their Sunday brunch buffet. There's a ton of food, an omelets station, and awesome desserts. It's also reasonably priced which is always a plus.

This is a wonderful throw back in time. Beautifully decorated, fair prices and service that is above and beyond exceptional. The old time decor is exceptional and leaves one to glance around the place throughout your lunch or dinner for non-stop enjoyment. The atmosphere is laid back, yet still classy. Pricing is a little on the higher side, but definitely not over the top. Well worth the quality of food you get and the presentation is wonderful. Locally owned and well received by the downtown crowd, you can enjoy an afternoon lunch, an after work cocktail at the bar or a nice, quiet evening dinner.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Erie. The restaurant actually used to be the old Firehouse downtown, and they have a lot of old memorabilia inside and on the walls. Although it is a nicer restaurant, you wont be out of place dressed casually. The food is reasonably priced and I have never been unhappy with the food or the service. The only thing is, the brunch is a little too high priced. It is all you can eat, but its around 14 dollars, so unless you have a big appetite, id stay away from that.

If you like cream sauce covered cuisine, you will love the Pufferbelly. It is on the site of an old firehouse which make the interior very interesting. I personally don't care for cream sauce of my food, but for those who do, the Pufferbelly is the place to go. The desserts are exquisite and worth saving room for!

This restaurant is beautiful as the old firehouse is made into a yummy restaurant. Dark wood booths and tables dot the main dining room, which sits adjacent to, but well separated from, the bar. The price tag is expensive to suit the salaries of the local fair. The French onion soup is one of the best I've had in Erie -- with lots of onions and ample provolone cheese, not Swiss or Jarlsberg. The menu hosts a nice variety of large salads that come in two sizes. Fresh rolls come with. There is a wide selection of filling yet trendy food. The quesadillas arrived hot, and the veggies were steamed rather than grilled, a healthy change. The vegetable lasagna rollups were delicious, and Southwestern and veggie Greek pizzas boast a "hand-tossed crust." Nothing on the menu would break the bank, but you'll be spending every bit of your $10. Soups run the standard $2.25-$3.50. Appetizers are a bit more, with the hot artichoke dip at $6. Beware as extra toast slices are just that...extra. Sandwiches range from $5.95-$6.95, and most come with a pile of engine-house potatoes. Salads range from $5.50-$7.95 for the large size; $3.50-$5.95 for the half size. The Hearty & Trendy items run from $5.50 for the quesadillas to $6.95 for the pasta. I like Pufferbelly; however, even when they're slow, the service is lacking. The waitresses only come to take your orders and deliver your food, and even then you may not find the same person twice, but for sure you will see the ordering waitress or waitor when it's time to collect the bill.

The decor of this restaurant is unique. It is an old firehouse converted to a dining place. It has high ceilings and old firefighting items. The food is exceptional also. The dinners are varied with specials and the desserts are great. But the best part is their Sunday Brunch. A reasonable price for a nice selection(that varies weekly) including a fresh omelet station and belgian waffles with strawberry topping.
