I love going to Stan's in the Spring because of the variety and reasonable prices on gardening items and flowers. If you feel Spring in the air, it's time to go to Stan's! Their plants are very large and their perennials are very healthy and colorful. They have everything from potting soil to statues for your garden. Every gardening tool and pest control. Their staff is very knowledgeable and are "hands on".

Gerlach's is always top notch and ready to help with all your gardening and planting needs. I love the variety they have and they're always so very helpful. I'm not exactly the greenest of thumbs... okay... I can kill anything green! BUT.. somehow they always seem to be able to steer me in the right direction and get me the right things to plant each year.
I love their variety of unique items too. Never fails that there is something in my (loosely termed) garden that someone is amazed with and asks where I got it from!
They also carry a ton of great tools, from simple garden tools to the big riding mowers, etc. and are very knowledgeable in all.
Pricing isn't WalMart but then again, neither is the quality or the expertise you get with each and every sale!
Highly recommended for your gardening this year... Gerlach's is the place to stop!

I love Mason Farms, whether it's their large Peninsula Drive market or one of the many that adorn the side yards of many local Country Fair stores they have some of the best produce in town at reasonable prices.
Their store on Peninsula Drive offers a country style atmosphere, tucked inside a barn like store that offers not only fresh produce but fresh baked goods country gifts, like candles and candies. A great array of summer plants and flowers are available during the planting season!
It's a great place to stop in for a fresh addition to tonight's dinner or pick up a great gift for grandma on her birthday!

This place knows their stuff. They offer a huge variety of items and everything they offer they are knowledgable about! They have great summer hours, slightly limited winter hours but still open enough to be able to get in there to get what you need. They offer name brand products, great service and are very informative. Everyone seemed to have their 'specialty' departments and if you asked a question and they didn't know, they asked someone else!
The only problem I really have with this place is that the winter staff is pretty cut down and therefore if they do get a rush in the winter you may have to wait a little bit. Don't let this deter your visit though. They are friendly and reliable.
PROS: Friendly, knowledgable and reliable sales staff
CONS: slightly understaffed in 'off season'

We were in the market for a complete landscape project. We recently built a new home and also put in an inground swimming pool. Needless to say, the work we needed was quite extensive. Winschel Bros. seems to be known for the stunning brick work that they do and the original landscape designs. We loved what they had to show us, and their ideas for my house. The work was completed in a timely and professional manner!! I'm new to Erie but I can tell you, if you are looking for an upscale design, they are the firm for you! I only wish the Erie weather was better as I now prefer to enjoy my yard and brick work!!

I love going to Potratz in the Spring because they have their plants half off. It's usually still very cold here in the winter and walking in their greenhouse is so nice and you get to see what's new and it gets you excited for summer. Prices (not sale) are a little steep, but worth it for the plants you get.

If you want to keep your grounds looking great you can count on mark and his team leader Vic and the crew. They start in early Spring to do a cleanup. Then fertilizer is used and aerating is done. The lawn is mowed properly and every last blade of extra grass is cleaned up afterward. The lawn is edged also. Extras can be done like tree trimming, gutter cleaning, and laying bark
