While the El Patio Motel isn't one of Erie's top notch motel's in the area it does offer a reasonable rate for families. The building is old. Simply put there haven't been a whole lot renovations done on it. We've had guests stay there that have commented that they didn't mind it for the price but if you're paying top dollar I don't think it's worth it. They do boast a nice, fairly well kept outdoor pool for their guests and some paid visitors. Plenty of parking and the fact that it is right at the mouth of Presque Isle State Park help to keep this place full nearly all summer long, even at the highest rates. It's not spic 'n span but it's fairly clean. I've never seen any bugs or roaches or anything like that in the many times we've had our own out of town guests stay there and it really is nice to have a pool outdoors to enjoy some sun and clean water to splash in. They also have a patio grill to cook some burgers on for the family. Along with the motel there is Choo-Choo's, a train themed bar that is nice to sit in and have a couple drinks to wind down your evening. All in all not bad for the price. Not the best in town but there are definitely much worse!
