Erie, PA is simply lucky to have The Shriners Hospital available to us. Doctors from all over the world come here to learn new techniques and envision new miracles for children. While some of the biggest cities in the country may have some great hospitals, none can compare to the care a child receives at Shriners.
Every child treated at Shriners is treated free of charge. They specialize in orthopedics but are not limited in any way to just that area. I've seen children walk out of there, with completely new attitudes and views on life. Treatment of scoliosis is one of the many common illnesses they can handle and have been God sends to many for their care.
The most amazing part of this hospital, second to all treatments being free of charge to the patient, is that now the vast majority of patients are treated same day or in a 24 hours period and return home. While not all kids go in and out that quickly, there are more that fall in this category then those who don't.
Truly a facility dedicated to making the life of children better, they achieve their goal with complete simplicity. The staff, doctors and nurses are truly one of a kind, caring individuals and deserve the highest respect.
Hopefully you will never know a child in need, but if you ever do, you will be thankful that Erie has The Shriners Hospital.

This is one of the finest doctors in the city of Erie. His office seems to run with ease. Waiting periods are very minimal. Efficiency seems to be a must. And to top it off you never feel rushed.
Dr. McAllister is down to earth and compassionate. He always makes you feel like you are his only patient, unlike some doctors that can make you feel as though you are in a mill and just run through for a quick look over. He takes the time to talk with you, explain things and won't hesitate to send you for a second opinion or specialist.
I would recommend this doctor and his staff to everyone I know!

We found this vet because we were in search of a quality facility to board our pets. We hadn't considered a veterinarian since we thought that the only animals they kept would be sick ones. This is not the case. We boarded our animal for a few days. Her food was included in the price and our animal was well taken care of. She got let out to stretch several times a day and the Vet picked up on an ear infection. The cost of the exam and medicine was much lower than a competing vet's previous bill. I have recommended this vet and the boarding services to many friends.

I have visited this hospital's emergency room a few times on weekends when I needed a prescription and my doctor wasn't available. The service provided in the emergency room was excellent but I would not go to this hospital if I had a major problem. I think this hospital isn't as up to date and advanced as some of the other ones in this area. With that being said, it is a great, clean place to go for a minor emergency.
PROS: Clean, Fast ER service
CONS: Not advanced in technology

I have gone to this practice for almost 10 years and am very satisfied with Dr. Fadrigo and her staff! Her nurse, Sue Proper, is very good with both of my sons and they feel very comfortable with her. My sons are ages 4 and 9 and have received excellent care from Dr. Fadrigo and Nurse Sue! We highly recommend them for your child's care!

When I first went here, my contacts had recently been discontinued. I was not at my home eye doctor and needed a new prescription. The visit was timely and the doctor was helpful in choosing a few new brands of contacts to try out. I tried each out and then returned. They were able to order them quickly and the eye care team was helpful and really made a pleasant experience.

Once again I turn to the pharmacy for a slightly different take on Black Friday.
If you can't give up Black Friday shopping and rushing up into the Peach Street Jam, as we all know it, then make the stop at Eckerd's on Peach.
Not only is the store fairly new, but it is so well organized and contains so many specialty items (especially around the holiday season) that you will wow your family and friends with items they've never seen before!
Check out the Eckerd's ads too for some great deals. Black Friday, the store is always empty as everyone is up on Peach street and you can get in and out instantly!

Dr. Barber is a very competent and caring pediatrician. As first time parents, he understood that we had a lot of questions and were concerned about every sniffle our child had. He took the time to explain things to us in layman's terms and made sure that we understood any instructions that he gave to us. He had no problems giving us referrals for various things and though busy, he did not make us feel rushed in our visit.

This group of physicians/anesthesiologists are truly one of the top rated groups in the City. They were the first to alert me to problems that people may incur with anesthesia if the patient has Multiple Sclerosis. I had been anesthesized before without any comment or information being supplied about the complications that could occur. I felt this alone classifies them as 'someone who knows their stuff'.
They also take the time to sit and answer any questions you may have about the entire procedure and when the time comes for them to 'do their thing' you can be assured you go to sleep with them there... and wake up the same. They don't go too far and remain with you during all surgeries and procedures.
Top rate. You DO have a choice who your anesthesiologist is, ask for them!
