Sontheimer's has several items that are outstanding including their danish, cherry nut cookies and orange crescents. The clerks are always quick and friendly. The assortment is very good and the quality and freshness are great too. Though they have increased their prices over the years, I feel they are still a good value for the quality of goods purchased.

Excellent baked goods that will make your mouth water. Fairly priced, they offer a nice variety of baked goods. The biggest problem is they sell out quickly!
Quick service is a must with them as they normally are very busy. The biggest problem is getting there early enough to get the treats you crave and getting there before they close as they aren't open very late at all.

I love Sontheimer's Bakery. Everything they make is fresh and priced reasonably. I love their cream filled cupcakes and rolls. It is a very busy place and the reason is -- everyone who loves great baked items goes to Sontheimers. It is conveniently located and they also have their items at local restaurants and some stores. We love going on Saturday mornings for their famous danish. No one has better danish!

This is one of the few remaining independent bakeries in Erie. They started as a German bakery many years ago and still have a great "cimmakucha" as my Mom would have said. They have all types of pastries, breads and cakes. At Lenten time they also have great fasnacht keukles, a light and airy donut.
