Waldameer isn't the biggest park we have every been to but we just love it. We have three kids and I found the kiddie sections of the park on both the water side and ride side VERY impressive. There was also plenty of thrill seeking rides for my teenage son and hubby to enjoy. I enjoyed the whole park but found the water park to be the ultimate in relaxation. They have one heated pool that is just for relaxing. My personal favorite is the endless river where you float lazily around and around on a big innertube. My thrill seeking family could not get enough of the many waterslides. The kiddie section of the waterpark kept my youngest entertained for as long as I was willing to stay in that section. They also have an arcade where I had to get in at least a few games of skeeball. There didn't seem to be any rules against bringing in food, so we brought in a few drinks and snacks to keep the cost down. We did buy an elephant ear for 3.00. It was really big and we all shared it. We had an awesome time and expect that we will go again next summer.

This amusement park is a picture perfect park when you remember days gone by. While they boast many newer rides and a great water park with tons of awesome slides, they also keep a flavor of the olden days alive.
A large arcade provides old fashioned Ski Ball right next to new wave dance machines. Long time favorites such as the Dodge Cars, Scrambler and Tilt -A-Whirl carry screams and cheers right along the newer rides like the Sea Dragon and WipeOut. An Old Log Run has replaced the old fashioned wooden boats of days past but still right next to it comes the wafting smells of good ol' fashioned carnival foods.
Cotton Candy, Candy Apples and Waffles make your day complete after being whirled, twirled and shaken.
The Water Park offers a wonderful array of areas for people of all ages, from a hot tub style pool to a cooler tube ride called Lazy River. They have a nice children's area for the kiddies to swim in and parents can lounge by the pool or join the little ones while the bigger, more brave kids run off to drop straight down a slide that will curl your hair!
Very reasonably priced for family fun this park is a definite must see when visiting the Erie area. If you're a new resident, your move isn't complete until you've gone to Waldameer. If you've been here your whole life... well then you know what I'm talking about! It's a blast from the past, combined with a fantastic future! And the park is constantly adding new rides and events.

This is a great day trip. A small park that has great appeal for the family. A great place for a picnic. It is like taking a trip into yesteryear. The rides are from a simpler era but yet are still fun. If you have teenagers who want the fast huge coasters than this may not be the place for you. This is great for older people and family with young children.

Waldameer Park and Water World can be described in one word; awesome. You can have so much fun for such little money. 20 bucks will get you admission to the park and Water World which you can spend lots and lots of time at, possibly all day. The Water World is very clean and chlorinated. The Water World is also very fun with littler slides and rides like the Lazy River and Heated Pool. But if you like extremes, there are the speed slides which are extremely large slides that go nearly straight down. The actual amusement park is cool as well, with a few roller coasters and other fun rides, you'll want to come again!
