My boyfriend and I live in walking distance to Hacienda's and go there quite often. I have to say I got a good laugh at all the bad reviews. First of all, the service can NEVER be bad. The waiters walk with head sets on so that if someone who is not your waiter see's that your drink is empty, boom you have it within seconds. If you run out of chips and salsa, boom it's right there as your finishing it. It's the best experience ever and that is why we have a hard time going anywhere else. We look up different restaurants around the area, but nothing can beat this place!! Try it! If you don't like it, you don't like it! I have a feeling the bad reviews were from people who didn't get their way, or work for another restaurant and they're needing service that bad.
Pros: Food, Service, price, EVERYTHING
Cons: nothing

Having gone on a Saturday night, there was a 45 minute wait. Luckily, we found a place at the crowed bar and enjoyed one of the best margaritas in town. Got seated, and started filling up on chips and salsa. Though not the best salsa I've had...it's pretty tasty. I ordered the Admiral Guzman's Shrimp Enchilladas. I have to say it was one of the best shrimp dinners I've had....the shrimp were cooked just right and the sauce was some of the most flavorful I've had...I would recommened Hacienda to anybody...
Pros: Food, drinks, price and service

Hacienda Colorado is a great experience for any Coloradan or any Colorado visitor seeking quality Mexican food. The food is excellent and the staff is extremely attentive.

What an embarrassing evening! I took my most special, out of town guests, per my recommendation, to Hacienda Colorado. We began our feasting on the Margarita Swirls, on to stale guacamole, then the chile rellenos arrived, smothered (and I use that term loosely) with their touted spicy pork green chile. The portions were scant, with me wondering if they had simply forgotten to top with the chile. I glanced around to the plates almost untouched, with polite excuses coming from my guests to the effect they simply were not hungry. The service was very good, how can one not leave a tip for the poor bearer of such pathetic cuisine. The cost to me was significant, not to outweigh said embarrassment.

I'm not a big fan of mexican food in the Denver area. But this place isn't that bad. I would call it a slightly more up scale Don Pablos with better food.
I had the Enchilada and Chili Relleno platter. The enchiladas were fine the rellenos were deep fried with more of a chicken or fish batter on them rather than the traditional egg batter, but they were ok.
The sauces that I tried (Pork Green Chili and Red Chili) were very flavorful.
This isn't the best mexican place in the world, but the food isn't bad and the prices are pretty reasonable. I would go back again.
Pros: Decent food.

My husband and I looooooove Hacienda!!! We go here at least every other weekend. Yes, there is always a wait, especially if you go on the weekend around 7-8 but that is ok with us. We just sit in the bar area and grab a margarita and the bartenders always give you some chips and salsa to tide you over while you wait for a table. And the wait is never as long as they tell you. Last night they said "about an hour" and we didn't even wait 30 min. I love the dining area, it's colorful, loud and full of energy. Just hope they don't stick you in the back room, hate that room! The service is always fast and accommodating. The margaritas are a must! Yes, they are a little expensive but they are strong and I can barely drink 2 of them and I am no light weight! The food is far from authentic. It is VERY Americanized but I still love it. The chicken enchilladas are one of my favorites but my most recent discovery is the Poblano de Pollo. LOVE IT! So good, can't get enough of it . It also comes with a very yummy chilie reanno. My husband loves the spicy fish tacos. We love their rice as well. The beans are just so-so. All in all, If you are expecting authentic Mexican food, this isn't the place for you. But, if you are looking for a fun place with a great atmosphere and great food and drinks, Hacienda is the spot!
Pros: Great ambience, food, drinks and prices!
Cons: Don't get seated in the dreaded back room

Not a truly traditional Mexican restaurant but very good. Best spicy ribs Ive ever had. The problem, which others have noted is that it can get VERY busy. So if you go between 5-7pm expect to wait. I only sat in the dining room once or twice. The bar area is far better, the bartenders are very cool and service is faster.
Pros: interesting take mexican food, huge taquila selection
Cons: service can be slow at peak times

I have eaten in this restaurant about 12 times - 10 of which were for lunch because it is convenient to my office. The food is excellent but the wait for seating - even when the restaurant is 25% - 50% full is maddening. However, if you are limited for time, you can generally seat yourself in the bar. I personally think the food is excellent including the salsa and their very light chips. I have lost sight of what "real Mexican" or "Tex-Mex" or "Southwestern" food is supposed to be. It is very spicy, which I prefer, and I thoroughly enjoy it, especially the salmon salad. The food quality and quantity and the irrational seating are all consistent.
Pros: Great Tasting Food
Cons: They Will Seat You When THEY are Darned Good and Ready
