I have frequented Rico's for almost 30 years starting when they were Red Moon pizza in the Cinderella City mall. I am a hard to please pizza lover and have tried most of the notable pies in town. Syl, Rico, Sal and the fun, friendly staff still keep making the best NY style pie around. And that includes the places I visited in NY.
Their specialty sub cost $1.80 in 1980. Today? $1.80. Great value and unbeatable quality.
Keep up the good work.

Pros: Best pizza in town, bar none! Sides, Specials and Staff
Cons: Small but mighty!

Rico's Pizzeria is Fine Italian Food and a best kept secret in the Englewood neighborhood. Just a little tiny building hiding some of the best Italians dishes you can imagine. Everything is made fresh daily. Many people dine in if your lucky enough to get a table. Very cozy at lunch and dinner. Both family and workers clamour to get seats. Fun wait staff. Loads of take out too. Just about any Italian you could want Pizza, Subs, Calzones, Italian Breads, Spaghetti, Daily Specials to die for, Desserts, Appetizers, and even Salads for those that want to watch there waist lines while in an Italian Restaurant. Definitely a keeper!

I was way past due for lunch, and Rico's was right next to the Army Surplus Store, so I stuck my head in. The place was packed, but I didn't have to wait very long at all to get through the takeout line. I asked the waitress what her favorite was, and immediately got responses from all the other customers at the counter. I decided to go for the combo sub. I've gotta say...this simple sub far exceeded my expectations. The best touch was that it is baked fresh on a "pizza crust" roll. Truly awesome! I ate outside on a bench and watched the cars go by on Broadway--ok for a nice day, but it looked a bit tight inside if you really wanted a table. I will definitely be back!
Pros: Amazing subs
Cons: small seating area, fairly noisy

I have been driving by this place for twenty years or so. Don?t be put off by the sign that reads Subs still only $1.85. I just assumed that it was a cheap eats place period. It was not expensive, the food was hand crafted in front of my eyes, and the ingredients are fresh, and the end result very good. My first clue that I found something good is when on Thursday night the line for a table extended out the front door. Yet we found our table in about ten minuets. I have never felt the need to recommend a restaurant on the internet after eating there. In reading the other reviews I noticed all of the reviews rate this small cozy place as ?Highly Recommended? this includes my review. It is a quality clean tasty place to eat. It has an open kitchen; this ensures there is no place to hide the grunge found in most commercial kitchens. Rico?s would be appropriate anytime you need a tasty, high quality, quick, in-expensive lunch or diner, dine in or to go. Thank you to the proprietor and staff.
Pros: The food
Cons: Not a place for groups or dates

Tried all other pizza restaurants in the area, and nothing compares. Right amount of cheese and sauce, large and thin new york style crust, and fresh toppings...that's what makes a good pizza. Not to mention the service, in 15 mins always. Family run joint, Sal is always there running the place like he knows how and giving you your pie.
Always go Ricos in englewood.
