I am very angry and sad how this hospital treated my grandmother. We just want all the families to be aware of this Negligance of this hospital.. her falling should have never happend!!!! Also, attitude of the employee's toward the family it was unexcitable. Just like to bring this issue to everybody's attention so no other families have to go thru what we went thru.

My grandma just passed away in this hospital due to staff negligent. She was taken there for pneumonia and was going get discharged the next day. However, the next morning, while we were calling to see how she was and when we need to pick her up, the staff told us that she had fallen down 3 hours before and was in coma now!!!!! We were never notified. I wonder why???!! No one could tell us what had happened even though the staff had found her in the hallways. You would think that a hospital is where you are taken care of, not neglected. She passed away last week 11/04/08 due to bleeding in her brain from the fall. This is just to raise awareness among families to know that the Encino Hospital on Ventura Blv. is not a safe place for your beloved one to be. Be Cautious!! Pros: Nothing comes to mind Cons: neglecting patients, poor staffing
